i dunno which to use because im starting with 3DWS and tbh i love it and ive saw some amazing maps made in Cartography shop which rocks .

is there a tutorial to make a basic Map in 3DWS because what i tend to do in 3DWS is make a 128x128 size map then it makes me wonder wont this map be massive nd then i make a simple 2 story house and add textures but it looks canny like a big open zone with a house with no windows and a bit of light so it canny looks like the light is always on so would anyone be kind enough to help me a little please

Thank you

heres a forest scene I did in 3dws. my only grype so far is that it lacks a few more modeling tools and it cant import models on the fly while program is running. exporting to .x is perfect.
basically, Once you have your terrain tool open in order to sculp/reshape your land. while its open click on the sculp tool, then left click to raise moutains. It is the same for all operations where the terrain is concerned. if you want to flatten it, you click on flatten and with it open you left click on the terrain where you want it flattened. Texturing and painting several different textures to the terrain is simular.

heres the tutorials list you requested:
