3D World Studio / Newbie Question

im new to the world of gamemaking but ive just purchased the dark game studio which came with cartograpghy shop 4, can you make town size worlds with this program or is 3d world studio better?
im trying to make a free roaming game set in a town.

I'm not sure if 3DWS is better than CS4 in terms of towns or not; I think that the best choice is to make each building seperately. Once you've created the building models, and any other models you want to include, you should be able to put them together into a town using a programming language (like DBPro or C++). You should be able to create the rest of your assets using other software.
