Hi guys sorry just bought all the products online and 3d canvas is one of them. I have been playing about with the animations etc and having some fun for the program, however I think now I am ready to make models for levels in FPS Creator and FPS Creator X10.

Could someone outline what is needed just generally and then if I have any questions or problems with a particular bit I will emphasize on them. Any model packs I make will have a credit to you guys usernames who have helped me as a thanks.

So for start, when I create the model, I save it as ..... what? lol

and then from there what steps are needed to get it compatible with FPS Creator. Either FPS Creator is fine I have both.

Thanks in advance guys.

hello hazzman,
save your models first in .3dc format...this is 3d canvas native format...then export the model to .x format...

to get the model compatible with fps creator format, you will need this...

http://files2.thegamecreators.com/fpscreator/fpsc_entity_maker.zip

be sure to go through the video tutorials before using...
hope this helps...

hi guys been a while since i used the software i bought a while back..I was wondering...

How do you upscale things to make them the same size in fps creator. I have created several models and imported them into the fps creator but they are tiny almost equivelant to tea cup size in the engine.

For instance what would be the general dimensions for a box in the fps creator world, and how would i set them to a different size in 3d canvas pro?

THanks

i have no idea what the size is for fpsc...but to change the size of the model in 3d canvas...first make a copy of your original file and rename it adding the word copy to the name of the file...select the model and go through the operations by putting the mouse over each one until you find the one that says scale...right click on it and the parameters window will open...you need to decide about how many times larger the model needs to be in fpsc...say it needs to be 10 times larger...put 10.0 in each box in the parameters window...click ok...then left click on the scale button...now you can export your model and see if it needs to be larger or smaller...the default in 3d canvas is 1.0...hope this helps...

awesome pirate yer a genius just trying to work out what is a decent enough size to import into fps creator some things like boxes and stuff took a bit of tweaking to get just right and same with smaller entities like tea cups and stuff but it worked thanks mate.
