I feel stupid because I have done it before, and I thought I just did File-->Save As--> .X But every time I try this it won't let me save it as anything but a .3dc file. Help?

You want File -> Export -> .x

The filename box gets a bit carried away sometimes though, so if you save your .3dc file as 'model1.3dc', then you export the .x and want to call it 'model1.x', the Windows auto-complete tends to fill in the name for you. But just change it from .3dc to .x and it will be OK.

First off, you have to own the program to export anything other than .3dc or .pov The Freeware Version will not export anything else.

If you do own it, have you upgraded to a newer version?
If so, then you must reenter your license code (Help/Enter License Code) then restart the program and go to (Help/Download 3D Canvas Exras) then install the download and restart the program.

If you have done all of this, then go to (Tools/Options/Import\Export Plugins) and make sure that all the plugins you want are checked.

If none of this works, you have a damaged installation and will need to uninstall the program (Control Panel/Add and Remove programs) Then reinstall the program including the license code and upgrade extras installation.

Thanks, I re-entered the product code and it's working now.
