I posted this on the DarkAI forum and it's not necessarily a bug but it would seem to be a mistake:

Paths are added as possibilities where they should not be, and in certain situations removing them could affect the pathfinding time significantly. Rounded objects like cones can only be come at from very sharp angles when searching for the shortest path, so a significant number of possibilities could be eliminated in the picture shown.
