I've belonged to the forums for some time now, and I figured I'd start on my first real project. I was hoping someone could give me some opinions on my storyline for my new modern day game.

Story
The year is 2016. You are Rick Thomson. You are a CIA Agent. Since the fall of Dictatorships in Iran, the aftermath has mostly been un-stable. The government has called upon their over-seas allies (Alaska, Northern Canada, and Iceland), to send supplies out. Congress still has to approve of opening the main shipping routes to Iran. Suspicions of Black Rebel groups still remaining in Iran are sill to be un-foreseen as thermal satellite imaging has picked up traces of such activity, and would therefore be un-safe to open the borders. The Iranian Prime Minister Ahmenjjead has partial South American support in Congress, and one third in Iraq. Tensions remain high as President Tom Dowing is growing in-patient over this conflict.

Prime Minister Ahmenjjead has been tallying up his supporters and waiting for the trial date. Ahmenjjead is not very trustworthy to Americans. President Dowing does not like the idea of Ahmenjjead calling for shipments from his allies overseas. The Black Rebel formations have assembled in eastern parts of Saudi Arabia and all around Iran. Just one bump-up and Iran can go to dictatorship again. That’s why the CIA has sent in you. Your mission: investigate the root core of the Black Rebel Groups and uncover the conspiracy of why Ahmenjjead wants these “supplies”, how Black Rebels are involved, and how much longer Congress can stall this debate. This is 2016 and this is reality.

Bring the war to their soil and stop this before it can start again. Get closer than ever in a high stakes battle of life or death. Fight among the best Agents in the known world. Leave no prisoners. This is The Black Rebellion.

I like your story. The only thing I'd have to say would be to tell us more about the Black Rebels. Who are they? Why are they there?

story actually sounds nice. how about your game's design though. what kind of game is it? a first person action game, a 3rd person platformer? I assume it's an fps, is it in fps creator or dbpro? What kind of nifty features will we see?

I love the story, sounds like it actually happened. Is this going to be a FPS or an Adventure Game (You know collect the items and explore)?

Wiggett- You'll see some pretty cool things. For one, you'll see some what of a challenge. I've seen enough games that can be beaten in five hours without dying. You'll also see better weapons. Machine guns, pistols, snipers, etc. they will all be there. I'll make my game in FPS Creator.

Vampiric- This will be an FPS. You'll see a variety, sure enough... but not everything will be hack and slash.

G4fan- I was going to do that later. Your idea sounds cool. I'll make sure to drop more info earlier.

Sounds good man, keep up the good work, just try not to make it like every other FPS, you have a great story, i'd hate to see it wasted on another generic FPS. Keep us updated.

Dude, I never posted daily updates.

I'll post bi-weekly updates if enough people want me to. But, I might post it on the FPS Creator forums because I can't just talk about game design. I don't know however if the moderators will let me do something like that, though. So even if I do, the scope of the updates will be limited.

You could perhaps switch the name of the prime minister as it is fairly similar to Ahmadinejad, the current president of Iran......unless ofcourse it was a typo? But as you wrote the name like that several times maybe it's not.

There is another thing, but techically critizising that would be against the AUP and i don't wanna go there again haha.

Other than that it looks like it's gonna be an exiting game. Always nice to play a game were you get the enhanced feel like it's realistic by involving the player with the "current" political situation.

Thanks for the opinions.

I wanted to make it like Ahmadinejad was thrown out of power or killed or something... and someone approved, with hidden secrets that I don't want to share now,, was appointed to power.

It was really hard picking out a name for this guy. Ahmadinejad was actually the name I built off of to make "Ahmenjjead".

I'm glad you think this game will be exiting. I'll try to make it look really cool.
