I'm really having a hard time making an application with AWT... I've looked up a lot of tutorials but it's still not making much sense to me (Maybe because I'm not used to using OOP, or maybe just because it's confusing me). I think with the information I've gleaned from tutorials, i could get an AWT application working given some sample code. Could anyone write up a quick something or other, to... say... paste an image "a.png" to a window?

That helped a lot. Thanks

I think what i'm having trouble working with is the paint method. I'm used to telling the computer exactly when to update. It's also a bit confused working with containers, and then applets. Every tutorial online seems to mix up all of these concepts in different ways.

One question though.. I've seen javax.swing.JFrame; and java.awt.Frame used to create a window (err, window frame?), what's the difference?

Now onto applets!
