i have vista ultimate and direct x10 i and i get this error every time i run the fps creator free edition (dxversionerror) any solutions.
(and also yes i searched for this int the forum all ready but every topice on this was so jumpy i couldent uderstand it)

ok i understand now that i can actually install directx9 on my vista ultimate without it hurting it or directx 10 but wich file should i get any recommendations (is this the one i would get DirectX End-User Runtime 19/16/2009) I guess im asking if any one had success with this file

You want the latest version of DirectX 9.0c, which can be obtained from here. Note that I say the latest version as there are many versions with this same version number, which has lead to a lot of confusion among users.

yes , as the other 2 said , although you have vista you still need dx9 for most programs to work , unless you have dx10.1
