This is a car I'm making for some reason, can't really recall right now....

anyway, its my first major project with blender (which i started learning about a week ago)...I think it turned out pretty good, for starting with a grid, lol..

it's obviously a WIP, for lack of tires (or interior)...
maybe I can call it a floating car and be done with it =).

enjoy.

Free is good as long as you don't expect DBPro to like it .

You know what free is good, Bryce5, that can export terrains as .X, that's pretty good.

Blender, hmmmph - I'd rather not get involved, except please post all 3D modelling related threads here instead, unless it's specifically about Canvas, then go right ahead.

Working yes, but DBPro is going off it's nut internally. It's ranting about user interfaces and has a really weird standpoint on open source, basically DBPro is a sourcist. Try it, try compiling C++ code in DBPro, it'll come up with a syntax error, but really that's just a sarcastic way of telling you your on it's s**tlist .

Nah, not a fan of Blender, I'd really rather have a real blender and blend fake blender in to a fine blend. Maybe make a milkshape out of it.
I just think theres far nicer solutions available.

wtf?? was that a totally lucid response Vanb?? Lol, I must be tired cause I cant understand that.

Blender is great. It works for me, my company, and for a very good market. Does the job A and B the C of D.

maybe i shouldnt leave for more than a day..

now people are talking about bears..

anyway i like blender.

and i updated the car, some minor changes and fixed that weird bumpiness around the fenders.

and i forgot that i hadnt put a light on this side of the car, so it looks kinda dark.

Don't worry Van, we all get the strange say and do random stuff moods.

As for the model its a good start, the rendering is pretty cool. It does need its work though. Also, keep an eye out for my next tutorial which is a car modelling one, its not aimed at Blender, but its 'all round' based meaning most 3D apps will have sufficient tools.

As for Blender is a good tool, but I am not a fan of the interface myself, but there are a lot of tutorials around which is good.

i just have to do the interior now (ugh)

Actually my lotus tutorial is aimed all round rather than just at Cinema 4D, but really required for you to read my first all round tutorial, all of it should definately be doable in Blender, from the look of things, but it does need for you to know what tools do what and the general terms for tools, hence you not knowing what I'm talking about. If you were to look at my XSI version of the tut I just started alongside, it would confuse you more. But I am glad you took a look though.
