So I have used ConvSEO to get my Sketchup model into DBPro and saved out the parts of the model I want as DBO objects (IE not the invisible parts inside objects etc).

Next I load the DBO files back in to my DBPro project, re-textured them etc (using the values from the SEO MATERIAL ... commands). Everything is OK except for transparency, which is either too much or too little.

I used the SEO MATERIAL TRANSPARENCY command to get the transparency and, as this is a 0-255 number, converted it to a DB 0-100 number (IE n*100/255) and then have used it with both GHOST OBJECT/FADE OBJECT and SET OBJECT TRANSPARENCY/SET ALPHA MAPPING ON methods of getting transparent objects but neither of these produces the same transparency as the original model.

Does anyone know how to re-produce the transparency as set by ConvSEO?

Thanks

RR

Ratty,

In the ConvSEO manual there is a brief description of how models are rendered by the plug-in. I'm not sure if you saw this... please let me know if you did. If that was not enough info for you to figure out what you need to do, then please let me know that as well and I'll see if I can help you.

Thanks Mike,

I`m feeling a bit stupid just now, the SET OBJECT TRANSPARENCY/SET ALPHA MAPPING ON does work, I found a 'FADE OBJECT' command in my code which should have been deleted and was messing up the transparency.
