Update July 2, 2008:
YouTube Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdt6Vjfd4FU

Here's my WIP entry(s) for the 2008 competition. Still tons to do but it's already going pretty well.

I'm developing a sort of template that I'll be using in the event I make multiple entries. Meanwhile, here's some shots from the first, which is Rigid Bodies and Force Fields (and still very W.I.P.)

I'll have a video soon. Lemme know what you guys think so far

Changing the background to a bright sky would work better. Any chance of showing a video of it?

The background has been changed to a skybox. Looks much better, thanks for the suggestion. I was originally going for a DarkPhysics demo style look, but this definitely is better on the eyes.

I sped it up at certain points, usually in time with the music, to keep you from getting bored. It shows low, medium, and high physics qualities. Does not yet demonstrate force fields, however, eventually I plan to have three different things the player can unleash against the city, all showing off force fields pretty well if all goes as plan.

On a side note: Just noticed I misspelled the thread name. If a mod would be so kind as to change the "PhyX" to "PhysX" I'd look like less of an idiot

Good work Airslide. Can you send your work in progress version so we can try it out. We can then offer more advice.

@ Airslide: Nice thing! Will be hard to beat, cause of the scalability, user-interaction and the other important points!
One question: What program did you use to capture the video? (I tried FRAPS, but somehow I get a corrupted file after I finished it! It won't play with mediaplayer, but other captures of other apps with FRAPS run fine!)

I used Camtasia to record the vid, which I got free through a special offer. I don't think the offer is around anymore as it was quite some time ago.

Thanks for the comments!

@ Airslide: Thanks for the info! Maybe I find a way or maybe not to do a video, it isn't that important anyway! Maybe I just put a "WIP-Demo" into my thread to bypass the video!

Keep an eye out for those deadlines, this is a short competition!
