Whipped up a quick demo this morning, planning on adding some colour and textures and maybe some other minor things, but I'm eager to start something else.

So, what we have here is, a demo using the template code to demonstrate rigid bodies and force fields. Rigid bodies are displaced by 5 forces inside a cube. Watch the bodies get pulled from one side of the cube to the other! As exciting as it may sound, here's some pics:

looking good ico and good luck in the compo.

What value might you be using to attract objects. when I get to too high a number it does the opposite and pushes the objects away.

well, that's quite a nice idea. I'll look forward to see how it'll turns out. I wish you good luck on your entry!

thanks for the thumbs up you two.

To make a pillar that is shown, I used 2 forces. 1 is a box that covers the bottom half of the cube that pulls at constant -50.0, -75, 0.0, this groups up the objects on the floor together and I have a capsule force pulling at -200.0, 110, 0.0 to send the objects to the top half of the cube, and the cycle repeats with another box and capsule forces on the top half of the cube. The sphere's force in the middle is -2000.0, 50, 0. Mind you, gravity is off too.

ico: Seems like the ForceField-Discipline will get really crowded with cool stuff like yours! It looks very impressive although the used parts seem simple! (Why I didn't come along with this idea?)

Thank for your reply ico, I must be doing something wrong in my build of a force field, as I am making one then deleteing it to change the values of the field radius. I'll give above values ago.

cheers.

Wow make me thing of a sablier
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sablier

maybe you can create one with a Toroidal (humm donaugt) on each side, so the sand never touch the bottom but are attracted by the Toroidal, that would be impressive and weird.

When it is too complicated it is because you are trying at the wrong door.
