I started putting my demo together today. Im aiming to go for an uber demo with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from an uber demo.

So far i've finished:
Level
Noclip (basically allows you to switch between camera flight and moving with the character controller)
Pickup/drop objects
Object Spawning
Soft Shadows
Bump Mapping
Water Shader
Buoyancy
Rigid Bodies & Joints
Breakable Objects (some of them, could still add some more yet)
Force Fields/Force Push
Fluids
GUI
Scaling/options/Configuration

I've still got these to do:
Soft Bodies
Cloth ( I have some nifty ideas for this)
extras (bloom, etc blah)

Image Attached.

@ DBking: Looking graphically "complete"! I think you will show us something impressive (I only have to think about your World-Editor)!
I tried to run EVOLVED's Deferred-Shading-Shader, but it seems like it requires DarkShader (like it was noted on his side). Is there a way to bypass this requirement somehow? (I ask you, cause it seems like you want to use it, as you have asked for it in an other thread!) If you don't mind and have a spare minute and a solution just put it in my PhysX-Compo-thread!

Good luck!

I see someone else had the idea for 'forcepowers', haha. Mine wasn't called that, but its relatively near ( probably a little different ). Looking good though.

well, it is really nice to see a über demo in the competition. I wanted once to make one, but I tought I couldn't because I don't have any PPU, but I guess it won't stop you I wish you good luck and let's hope someone else join the über demo, so you may have some competition ^^

Thanks guys.

Yeah, will be nice to see what you come up with. Then maybe we can destroy the world (or each other) with our 'forcepowers'.

Yeah that would be nice.

@DBking - heh, absolutely I may make an über demo, but I'm not completely sure. As of right now I'm doing Rigid Body / forcfield, Cloth, and fluid demos. Haven't made any threads yet though, but I'm finishing up the forcefield one today.

I've made a bit of progress, although still on the rigid body side of things at the moment. I've managed to add buoyancy to my demo which does what you expect it to do (make things float/sink, whatever).

Shaders can be disabled, as can the buoyancy if physics is set to low. it was set to medium in software mode when I took the pictures.

Here's a couple of screenshots of it in action:

Next on my list is the force fields and ways to spawn more rigid bodies. After that, all the basics are out of the way.

DBking , are your sphere's floating in fluids or are they floating with buoyancy code.

@HowDo:
I coded the buoyancy to make them behave like that. I'm working on adding fluids and forcefields at the moment so should have some new screenshots and maybe a video later.

Also, I agree with your signiture. I've let two drinks go cold today.

Thanks, Tv Xxx. Those screenshots are a little old now though. I've done quite a lot since then so I should have some new screenshots and maybe a video by the end of tomorrow.

Visuals are knock-out. Get some scaling in there to change the intensity of the simulation for LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH, and check those other requirements of the compo so you get great scores in all the areas the judges are looking for.

I've made quite a bit of progress. I've managed to add some sort of GUI, scaling and fluids. I've still got cloth and softbodies to add though. Theres also a few bugs I need to fix, but they shouldn't take very long.

You'll also notice when you watch the video that fluids doesn't run so well on my computer. I'm hoping thats different on the judges machines if they have monster systems.

Anyway, Onto the screenshots.

Now for the videos.

@At Lee:
Thanks. I hope its ok if I use the V1.04 beta version of Dark physics because no matter what I do I can't get V1.05 to work with my Radeon X1600.

I tried updating every driver on my system and used PhysX V8.04.25 as you mentioned in the competition topic. Every time I tried to view fluids (hardware or software) my graphics card drive would reset. So the only way im going to be able to finish my uber demo at the moment is to use V1.04beta of Dark Physics.
