I don't know how many of you really know XML, but I use XML for a lot of my applications, mainly to describe data in a very neat and organized way. And I believe the same thing can be applied in games.

Well, I had just created a plugin for DBpro to read and parse XML file. Feel free to try it.

Tell me how useful is it and what are the things that you like or don't like. This is my first plugin, and I found it very hard to represent an XML file using the convention of slot numbers as what DBpro is using for most of its commands.

Excellent! I didn't realise the versatility of this plugin until I fully gave it a look. Messing around with the included sample shows how useful it can be. Great work.

Although, it would be very nice to see a full tutorial on how to use it. I know the documents are there and they are helpful but I'd like to see how something like the demo program is made from start to finish. Anyone? Thanks.

Hold you horses. I am currently creating a world editor that read an XML file that describe the world. The second one will be a XML format to describe different particles behavior so I can load it in DBpro like

LoadParticlesEffect("explosion.xml")

and it will read the explosion.xml that describe the particles properties and settings that will create an explosion particle effect.
