Dark Snippet Lite = dbc
Dark Snippet Pro = dbp

Dark Snippet is just a handy snippet storer for all your code snippets and functions. DSP works with the dbp ide in both ways, i can launch it from my program and get the ide to load my program (with my editor_launcher). DSL is a stripped down version of dsp so that it can work with both DBC and DarkEDIT, with dsl you can store the snippets, locate either darkedit or the dbc compiler and you can do stuff flawlessly from the snippet program. how handy is that?

DSL<to>DarkEDIT
DSL<to>DBC compiler
DSL<to>DarkEDIT<to>DBC Compiler

right this has been probably ticking over for the last month or so about weither or not to release a final DSP/DSL and the source code to go with it. lemme dig out the readme i planted in the source code release. i havnt updated the release number so they are still 9.2 hash 2.

----

I've decided to end programming for this program simply because i feel it's hit the end of the road, it does everything like it should and has 0 bugs and has spawned less than 5 bugs, During it's 3 years, 6months and 3 days lifespan. I started it on the 12th of april 2002 on the DarkBasic Developers Network (DBDN) when DBPRO was only barely in beta. I can probably claim that this was the first DBPRO third party utility since the only other snippet storer was codekeeper, which turned into an ide later on.

On my website lays only the zips and exe's of the 6 alpha releases and the only beta release, sadly i don't know how but i never archived the "final" releases 1,3-6, so i only have release 2, 7, 8, 9, 9.2 and the final build. Since i've made the final build, there has been some stripping of features most noticeably the online updater, ftp upload and download. so now it's made for offline use and no more freezing due to the components i used!

The source code for dark snippet pro is mostly uncommented, so be warned! If a couple of people ask if i could comment it, i may do it.

it's come a long way from this:

to this:

during the travels i made the DSP launcher for the dbpro ide:

and even some down right awful colour scheme:

right

i'm guessing you want the links now.

all the source code has been used in delphi 7, so use at own risk in other releases. i'm not held liable if it screws up your pc! (standard liability waver)

edit:

3 links to older dsp releases can only seem to find release 8, 9, 9.2. might be because v7 came out roughly same day as dbp was officially released and this forum didnt even exist! (pre v7 threads only exists on the dbdn forum)
