The Source code is outdated ! Is Beta 3 , current version of snakemod is Beta 4 !

The title says it all really. This mod is mainly based around water effects.

A big thanks to knxrb who helped me start off a simple water code that I didnt really use and thx to dark goblin to telling me where to put Evolved water code parts and teaching me about keystates.



Change water visuals with the FX File :

Go into FX/water.fx

Open water.fx with notpad or something.

You will see :

THX bigsnake and as you saw im a tester so i can give news about this mod

as he said the water does not decrease the Framerate i tested a beta an water has more detail than EFX

Nice, but I don't see any reflection. I was also wondering if you plan on adding an ability to change the color or the water. Looks nice, good luck.

He didn't see refraction, he said reflection. When it reflects it's surroundings. Like all the other many water mods already out for FPSC (And there are LOTS)

Sounds like a fun MOD. I'm going to have to try it out sometime. Not quite yet because I don't really feel like it lol. But it looks good.

What else will you be adding to this mod? If anything at all.

the Visuals are not better than efx (remember someone said it in this thread!).
Than there are some bugs I told you Bigsnake (FOV and that things!).

Than adding parallax mapping to this water... well not that perfect choice, will not really work I think.

Than I don´t know what you want with a dynamic sun, if you can not cast any shadow with it.

Also its nice to see that you got water working, but you never told me that you want to release it.

I helped you out with it because I thought you want to try out some things for yourself.
I am a bit disappointed that you never told me that. If I knew this, well...
And I will not help you with the gui, cause:
1. I have no time to help you with everything in this "mod", if I have it, I can create all this things alone.
2. I don´t know how to make a gui

Just released efxMod v2 today as some kind of beta-leak. See german forums. English post is going to appear in a few days. Just testing a few things with the german community and then publishing the whole thing here. I don't recommend downloading v2 for any non-german-speaker, as there have to be some custom changes regarding the installation and usage of the mod, as well as there's no information about the bug reporting and already reported bugs in english. Sry for hijacking your thread.

I cant seem to get the shaders working due to some incorrect code in the source :S

Will try my best for some different visuals effects though

EDIT :

IM currently working on a menu , koolman has decided he wanted to make the menu image for me so it will be wasy to set this up after he has finished. Thx koolman

Lucky Enough Im adding 1/2 of airmods features to this mod soon. Im working on the menu atm though

Its also not possible to have 2 fpsc-game.exes in the folder for fpsc to read both mods

Not to criticizes but you shouldn't integrate only half of something I'm sure their probably are some straw variable and what not around the engine. Anyways just my suggestion.

Well , I would be happy to send the water source to Hockeykid as its not rly my water code and is evolved's. He could probally fix the water bug with the flickering aswell cause ive ran out of ideas changing the clipping cameras for the water :S

is it wrong with a upside down cross? you can feel free to edit the logo, it's my gift to you. well i liked the water, but it looks a little wierd when your underwater. besides that, it's really good!

thx, um, there was a bug knxrb reported to me on MSN, its a bug with the water, it seems to cover only halve the map, I need to sort that out now.with the underwater, are you sure its not water fog ?
