Heltor has passed away sadly, he created some wonderful free models (and exclusive ones for me) and he will be sorely missed.

R.I.P Heltor.

I'm stickying this for a short while as a tribute to a great modeller & friend.

Wow... I made a remark in the previous version of this thread but I had no idea that Heltor died... I'll apologise for that and hope that Heltor may Rest in Peace. He was most definitely one of the most contributing members of this forum, his work was very good and he never asked for anything in return.

I would like to say "THANK YOU" to all of you Wonderful People. From my dad, It's no wonder he loved to make models for these forums, and everyone here. I am at a loss for words, other than Thank You. I do know my dad and best friend would say, "Let's Just Make Some Models"

When I saw this I seriously was at a loss for words. I didn't know what to say, had to think about it for a while. My throat's still tight.
Damn.
Zwarte, I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know him personally, but when I hear of someone passing that I know in some way, I can't help but be sad.
I wasn't even aware of his condition.

I never knew him, but he was a great modeller and artist, his work really showed it, I only had contact with him a few times, via the forum, but he will still be missed by me. I know this sounds chessy, but he really did inspire me to keep modelling, even when I was fed up with it.

Rest in Peace, Heltor.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. even though we weren't particularly close friends, I'm using his models in my game, so I see it fit to dedicate it in his honour. also I will try to contruibute some segments or some HUDs to this pack if needed.

Im truly saddened by this, not only was he very generous on the forums, but he was also incredibly generous in real life, devoting so much time to his kids and even was working on helping all of the youths in his community. He was always great to talk to, and unquestionably one of the nicest people i have met.

Rest in Peace friend.

Rest in Peace Heltor. I will see about making some HUDs for this, as they are the only thing I know what to do. But gonna try my best to make them as cool as possible.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Noz6-KaT4fA And I would dedicate this song to Heltor and his family. I feel sorry for your loss, Zwarte Pie. And that is the most beautiful song from the library I listen, and there isn't many.

This is the first time someone's died from this forum to our knowledge...

Heltor was lucky in that Zwarte was here to tell us about his sad fate - lest we just assume he had just abandoned the forum like so many have. Although, there's no knowing if there are other members we haven't seen for a while, purely due to death...

It's sad that one of the most valued members, and an obvious friend to all who knew him more personally has been lost. It happens too often.

If I vanish for a long period of time, I'd no doubt be dead. I can't see any reason why I'd abandon the forum without a goodbye (unless I was banned, of course.)

Condolences to his surviving family and friends.

Heltor was a clever guy with a good sense of humor who was forever adding great free traps to the forum and giving them away. He could have easily sold them but instead donated them regularly. They made FPSC more interesting and any game with one of Heltor's traps was sure to be an experience when the player triggered one of them!

I always wondered what sort of person this wry, amusing man was offline, I thought he might be a real character.

Thanks Heltor. I hope you're in a place where there are no traps and every door is unlocked.

Torrey "Heltor" Roberts was a funny, generous guy who did interesting work with 3D modeling and made the FPSC forum a particularly nice place to visit. He will be missed.

I haven't signed in here in weeks and don't own any of TGC software anymore, but I decided to sign in today.

I am very sorry for the loss. I agree he was a kind person, also talented and extremely creative. Let's remember him as the great modeler and person he was.
