It doesn't work on my Galaxy S3.

Does it require initialization or something to be called first?

Has anyone used this successfully?

Are you using V2 Alpha 6? Before that the light sensor commands would only work on Ultrabook devices, but supposedly they have been integrated for Android devices in the latest V2 alpha.

If you're on V1, you can use Hockey kid's mod, the light commands work with it.
