is it? i may have screwed up and bought my first mac on ebay...and it may not work. If my new 1.6ghz intel processor mac mini's not good enough for agkv2.... what is the minimum spec macmini i will need for agkv2?

looking it up now... says intels 950's top opengl is 1.4
im now worried!

if it doesnt work with v2 will it work with v1?

i have a mac mini here and i was able to run Agk Tier 1 very nicely and in some cases it was even better then my monster gaming laptop , i think you'll do fine with both versions.

You only really need it for compiling to ios anyway as far as I know. As long as it's intel I think you're going to be fine. I've been keeping an eye on e-bay for one lately! How much did you pay?

It might not be ideal for really big projects - but anything that runs on a standard tablet would run fine on that, so it's probably not a big deal.

Personally I think your better developing with the minimal specs your project needs, it's best to optimize AppGameKit projects to be as small and efficient as possible, and that's just easier when the development machine shows real struggles. This is doubly true for projects designed for tablets, as there's no benefit in having a super-powerful PC or Mac if your game is intended for the abundant $150 Android tablet market. To have a nice and smooth game run like treacle on a tablet is damn irritating - it's better to deal with speed issues as you develop I think.

I am the one who knocks...

i wasnt worried about speed.... more worried that the intel 950 didnt support open gl 2.0

im kinda mad at myself for jumpen the gun on ebay... paid about 250$ for one that may not work and i looked on kijiji last night and found a complete mac mini with an nvidia intigrated card for 360 and decided to jump on that too.....lol!

so i can say the new one deffinetly works as i tried it last night

but now i have a second one comming in the mail and i have no idea if the intel card is good enough for agk.

edit: actually im sure its not cause the top open gl for it is 1.4
agk uses 2.0

i dont know if its mentioned anywhere but you also need a minimum os of 10.8 but looks like 10.10 was a free download from the app store upgrading from 10.6
