Gekko keep in mind that most AppGameKit users are hobbyists, they don't want to spend money buying a mac or pay the $99 apple fee

They just release on windows or android and make little or no profits!

GLAD you found a designer

Well I am deciding to get a Macbook pro next week, fed up of waiting etc lol so will check this out soon.
On a side note I have just obtained a Windows Surface tablet and am very impressed with it, much better than android tablet.
Wishing that AppGameKit could release apps on that. 😊

Well done Gekko

I wonder why this functionality has to be done by users and not by the official developer...

Now adding the new UIAlertController VS the old deprecated in iOS 9 UIAlertView.
Now we have the possibility to get the delegate (callback) in the completion handler directly.
Really nice.
I added the support to close the previous alert if forgot.

Saturday the new video on youtube and the new download of the great new Gekko Manager Template!!

C2 to do web games (supports Win10 app creation too)
Delphi to do productivity apps on windows/mac/ios/android

I am also investigating HAXE as it is C-like and supports many platforms, also consoles
I wouldn't mind getting back to AppGameKit in the future, as it seems that development is ramping up and they got 3rd parties involved to do the 3d physics

i started using agk2 again, to make a windows app, and it's been very troublesome to create something that works fine on a vanilla win10. i don't like the fact that you have to install DX for an engine that is opengl based!

in the end, it's very contra-productive to have to go to lengths to convert ios apps made with agk to make them work on windows 10! i think agk should just create windows10 native apps and that's it!

Ohhh, yes, TGC is getting very slow. I don't understand why.
If i was them i had already released the windows 10 and the version 3 with complete 3D.

Well anyway, i hope at least the project islandwood could work good so we can make money from Windows app too.

Android never worked for me and i will never put my hand on it again.

you really had bad luck with android agk

but you have to understand that most other people managed to get it to work

i think the trick was to follow the agk for android guide 100% and install on windows not on mac

i remember that i used to code agk games in VS on windows, then move the code to xcode and they would work with minimal changes, and then move over to Eclipse (on Windows) where they would work ok too... but that was a long time ago using agk1

Like you I grew tired with the lack of progress in AppGameKit 2 (AGK sometimes feels like a side project for TGC). I switched to HAXE and never looked back. It has a great command set and supports lots of platforms.

@Polaraul

these last few weeks I gave another shot at AGK2 to do 1 project, after spending many months away from it. there are still many little niggles to iron out, and unfortunately these take quite a lot of time to get around.

I will continue checking HAXE more deeply as I find more free time

Microsoft has released a preview of Windows Bridge for iOS, a series of technologies that enables developers to easily port their existing iOS, Web and desktop code to the Windows Store.

Today, we’re releasing an early look at the Windows Bridge for iOS (previously known as ‘Project Islandwood’). While the final release will happen later this fall (allowing the bridge to take advantage of new tooling capabilities that will ship with the upcoming Visual Studio 2015 Update), we are making the bridge available to the open-source community now in its current state. Between now and the fall, we’d love more eyes, feedback, and participation on the code, so we’re doing our development “in the open.”

The iOS bridge is being released as an open-source project under the MIT license. It's still a work in progress and some of the features demonstrated in the past are not ready yet.
