I'm just on a statistic gathering excercise and am interested what font you use when programming.

The default in most editors is 'courier new' as it is fixed-width.

The excellent 'Consolas' at 9 points size. Comes bundled with Vista, but possibly also with IE7 too.

Good old Courier New size 10 or 11

Edit: Just checked out Consolas. A lot smoother then courier new, it's my favourite now, but only at size 11.

Agreed, but I have to use size 11 as = signs blur into - signs at anything lower with all fonts for me. I think my eyes are going bad.

I dislike proportional fonts for coding. I like fixed fonts. Lucida Typewriter is cool.

It would be very handy to (have the option to) show only fixed fonts on the editor list.
