Made this a while ago, but couldn't be bothered to turn it into a game. Feel free to use however, including the media (it's all by me, so no need to get permissions elsewhere). Let me know if you do anything cool with it.

(Load up mechmission.dba, make that the project directory so it finds the media and then add all the other source files to the project.)

Controls: WSAD and mouse buttons for each gun.

That looks pretty neat! It'd be great to see that used in a game.

You are not alone.

Still haven't been able to get it to run. Missing functions...

EDIT: just had to stitch it all together. Here's the connected code for others as confused as me...

IT IS SO COOL!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Yeah, make sure you include all the source files. I kept them separate to improve stucture and make it easier to improve it. You can take the minigun source file and use it as a basis to write your own weapon, and then bolt it onto the mech in place of one of the other guns.

If I get a chance, I'll turn the minigun into a shotgun or something and post that source file up and how to attach it.

Very cool Fallout. You need to get a showcase up on your site with all these great snippets you've been releasing lately.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

That's really really awesome. I love how the sound effects fit it perfectly.

Yup, nice sound - but I think the foot steps should have several different sounds that are randomly chosen with each step; right now I find it annoying to walk anywhere. I guess that's our problem now, not Fallout's...

@MikeS

Yeah, I've been meaning to actually put a website on my webspace again, but I never get round to it. Will try and hack something together soon.

@Ankillito

Yeah, you guys sort it out! I think you're right. Some randomisation in sounds would work, or perhaps reduce the volume so they're not so intrusive and change the footstep sounds depending on the type of ground. Also depends on what type of game you make. If it's a really fast paced action game with constant firing, you probably wouldn't notice.

If anyone actually turned this into a game, I'd be happy to help out with a few sounds though.
