Free software is great, but remember the old adage "you get what you pay for". I have tried most of the software listed for 3d modeling, and I always go back to my old stand by 3dsmax. just a thought.

well i would think that you would save them as .jpg in the folder containing the other stock textures for it, well actually if you find the folder containing the stock textures, you will find out what to save them as then just save them there

@Game Maker
You can use gmax for games :S

The online game "There" uses it for modeling, and I'm sure you can use it for other things too.

Might want to check that out lord...

You're wrong.
The company that made this "There" is doing something against the license. You can only use gmax to make a model and put it in your favourite game... Don't believe me? Contact the Turbosquid staff.

Also, can you tell me how you found out "There" uses gmax?

Another edit: These people who made "There" should either be in jail or pay a large fine:
Quote: "What does the Premium Membership cost?
Our PREMIUM Membership costs a one time fee of $9.95"

Quote: "imagen if you sell something with models made in gmax in it , and it becomes famous , and descreet descovers...you would have to carrye some really large fees , and maby eaven go to jail... so do NOT use it."

There's an identical thread with all this stuff in 3D Chat, it's completely un-necessary, and has little to do with FPSC media....

CB Model Pro is the worst modeler i have ever seen it does not allow wire frame editing and is a very basic editor cant make anything really high quality with it.

But nice list of software you have there.

Umm... Massive bump?

Seriously, we already have one of these, and also, late response? What? you just bumped this up by about two months.

Not to mention that you don't even give any consideration to the good stuff, I mean you have blender there, but no description. You gave description to only the worst things there, eg. CB, SketchUp, Paint.Net.

It doesn't for me, must be your antivirus...

I think it's sad that Blender gets flung in a corner because it's deemed too difficult to use, I can manage, so can Toasty, and tonnes more people beside...
