Rain death from above on your puny enemies using the AC130U Spooky aircraft. This is my latest project, allowing the player to assume control of an AC130 and bring hell upon the enemy with the 105mm Howitzer, 40mm Bofors cannons, and the 25mm gattling gun.

VIDEO HERE

And of course, this is powered by Project Blue 1.8. Comment and let me know what you think. I think I'm going to make an AC130 minigame when v1.17 comes out - you will actually be able to assisst allies in battle.

Enjoy.

Awesome! Where did you get the sound effects from though, MW2?

Also, will it ever go up for download or will it always be a video?

Very Impressive!

And thanks for the effort to create a video, it says more than a 1000 screenshots could do.

dats AWESOME!!!

even though i hated MW2's guts and ran over the disk burned it, flushed it down into the toilet, plunged it out, ran it over again, vomited on it, burned it again and threw it in the dumpster,

this is still an AWESOME mod! its amazing to see what you people can do with the limitations of FPSC! first the nuke, now AC130( which could be converted to a chopper gunner)

wats next? Pavelow/Harrier(should be easy for you; enemy ai on an airplane model, positioned above the map)?

Thanks for the comments

Already did this using waypoints and the antigravity platform, I'm just saving it for the actual minigame.

Quote: "Where did you get the sound effects from though, MW2?"

Yep, Modern Warfare. Obviously if I did make a game I'd have to remove them, despite how awesome they are "Good kill, I see lots of little pieces down there".

Quote: "Also, will it ever go up for download or will it always be a video?"

Generally I keep all my projects private, under the (false?) hope I'll one day get my act together and attempt to make a game. I may consider hiring myself out to Project Blue users to make scenes like this for them.

Also, the video doesn't really represent how cool this is, so I'm going to make a demo so people can actually play it.

Well, I look at the games out now and I find a scene I like, so I think to myself, could this be done in FPSC? I then check the Project Blue manual for potential scripting conditions and actions I could use, and then go on from there. I'm also pretty talented with Photoshop as well which helps in the creation of HUDs.

I have to say, this is hands down the best use of fpsc I've ever seen. Make a game out of this and sell it, it will sell I promise.

No, so long as I don't redistribute it. And the way you say "its all taken" makes it sound like I went into the engine and ripped all the models, shaders and graphics and just imported it into FPSC with no effort. The only files from Modern Warfare are the sound commentaries, and the scene wouldn't be the same without them. "Kaboom."

Very nice job, would be awesome if you could see the tracer rounds for the gattling gun. I hope FPSC eventually can switch to weapons that use actual bullets.

You can, the gattling gun fires a steady stream of bullets, you just can't see them very well due to the low fps of the video

Excellent video! Very good demonstration of scripting ability, pooling your talents together to make something new and fresh.

And nice use of PB, I must say.

Definitely one of the coolest things I've seen in FPSC and fantastic use of PBUM!

Are the enemies actual characters or are they billboards?

Characters of course Why would they be billboards? It's loads of fun setting them on waypoints to make it look like they're fleeing

LOL. You are a cruel man, Marc Steene

Maybe you should make it so that every now and then someone down there would smarten up and fire a good ol' Javelin right up to you

Got that already, you can hear when one is locking on and the enemy firing the "javelin" (it's actually a bazooka) flashes red. The player must then press F to deploy Angel Flares. Though, they only have two sets of flares so they must be used wisely.

I love the AC130 sound when flares are deployed...it sounds so reassuring Ding-Dong.

The projectiles were originally shown but I decided to hide them like in Modern Warfare. After watching a MW2 AC130 video, I released that you could see the projectiles. They will be shown in the minigame.
