Sorry for the double post, but *bump*.
Also, I forgot to mention, this plug-in is no longer updated, and the creator is A) French(Not saying it's
because he's French, just that the communication barrier would still be there.), B) Does not respond to E-Mail, and C) Is no longer on the forums. So, that's why I'm asking here.
Anyway, I do have new info on my problem. I've been testing the pack render function, and I've gotten it to work with a single image in the pack, though having more than 1 causes errors. In my case, the error is that only one image will load from the pack. And, no the sprites do not overlap each other, so it's not a Z depth issue. I've even messed with the Z depth to no avail! I've tried a little of everything from this plug-in's commands, and this is the only command I'm having issues with this.
The reason I really need help with this, is because this code right here:
a = dxs create sprite("1.png")
b = dxs create sprite("2.png")
c = dxs create sprite("3.png")
d = dxs create sprite("4.png")
etc.
dxs begin sprite render a
dxs draw sprite a
dxs end sprite render a
dxs begin sprite render b
dxs draw sprite b
dxs end sprite render b
dxs begin sprite render c
dxs draw sprite c
dxs end sprite render c
dxs begin sprite render d
dxs draw sprite d
dxs end sprite render d
etc.
Would then become this:
dxs create sprite pack aa
a = dxs create sprite("1.png")
b = dxs create sprite("2.png")
c = dxs create sprite("3.png")
d = dxs create sprite("4.png")
etc.
dxs add sprite to pack a,aa
dxs add sprite to pack b,aa
dxs add sprite to pack c,aa
dxs add sprite to pack d,aa
etc.
dxs begin sprite pack render aa
dxs draw sprite a
dxs draw sprite b
dxs draw sprite c
dxs draw sprite d
etc.
dxs end sprite render aa
As you can see, if you are rendering a lot of sprites, the code below is
way less bulky.
Anyway, thanks in advance.
Amo.
