Does the new ODE plugin in 5.9 beta work with advanced terrain? My program crashes when I try to convert terrain object into static triangle mesh. Maybe I am doing somthing wrong, my code is below.

Thanks Nathan

please don't use the source button. Place your code in a code snippet

Because the Source button is very buggy

No, it doesn't work.

The first thing I found is that using TERRAIN SPLIT causes problems. This must be due to the split creating limbs. So the chances are, ODE will have problems with any object with limbs.

I created a terrain with no split. For a start, this restricted the terrain height map to 64*64. Secondly...it still didn't work anyway! It didn't crash, but a cube fell straight through the landscape. I tried reducing gravity and mass to slow the cube down, in case it just wasn't registering. But this didn't work either, even though the cube successfully landed on a platform I'd placed below the landscape.

Has anyone tried ODE on non- fvf 274 objects. That may be messing it up.

Terrains can be made to work in ODE. I can update the source and build a new DLL to handle it. There was a function in there at some point for terrains but looks like it has been taken out.
