Hello, I can't believe I'm posting a Wip here! I never thought I would make another game I thought was worthy for a thread of its own. Anywho...

My game is called XFighter. It is a galaga Clone, or whatever game you have played that is similar to it. (Just look at the screen shots).

I would appreciate if you could give suggestions/comments. I would also like to know FPS and BASIC Computer specs (ram, cpu speed/type and video card speed/type at the least and needed). Here is what I will be adding:

Add To , Make better Menu
More Levels
A Final Boss Level
Less Buggy
Make mother ship better
Add help menu
Create upgrades (You pay with points)

I really love galaga, it's one of my favorite retro games.

Thanks you two! I have made the fighter change when you're allowed two bullets (I just haven't uploaded it). I'm also making a new bullet system. This way the aliens can fire more at the same time.

I'm also making a menu that will look like a game. I have some good plans with the menu, you'll just have to wait. hehe. Well, again thanks!

Sorry to double post, but I wanted to announce a few new updates. I added a menu (I really want you to tell me what you think). I also made the aliens a lot harder. I want to know if they're too hard. Well, hope more people reply.

I get a rutntime error 506 could not load image at line 27. You forgot to include an image in the latest build.

Whoops. I took the old rar without the new images and just replaced the exe. . Well, now it works. I tried it out in a different folder. Hope you like it.

ok one bug I f ound, the font is big on the menu when you first open it. if you goto credits then back to the menu then the words on the menu are small.

Also the enemies are going way too fast for a level one. on galaga they go about a tenth that speed.

ahh yes, level skipping. I actually worked for about an hour playing this and I made it to level 13 I think, then it said level 15. It totally skipped 14.

ok when it goes from level to level, when you shoot the last guy, the explosion freezes, and I think it displays the level number way too long. you should have it wait till the explosion is done before having it put "Level X" on (X= level number) or keep somehow keep the explosion playing while the "Level X" is diaplayed.

Well, I'm going to make the aliens come down from the top. That way it looks as if they are just coming and coming. But as for the explosion, I'll add that to it. Thanks!

Another update on progress. (I kinda thought this wouldn't be that much of a hit).

Here is a NEW checklist of what I'm adding:
Touching up the last 3 levels
Adding the big bomb (you'll lose points to use it)
Add a help menu
Finish the mother ships (such as shooting, and moving)
Make the few little aliens on level 11 to 13 work

Err, there was more but I can't think of them.

Cool! Good Job!
Suggestions:
*Should highlight selected option.
*Shooting option is original, but a little lame. I think with some explosions it will look better.
*Text font looks lame when large. You should chose a better font, or use a bitmapped font.
*More kinds of aliens.
*Sound!
*Maybe explosions a little bigger
*Music!

umm... one other thing, the aliens move centered, then after time in that level, they shoot faster, and they move more to the left but not all the way to the right. they shoot so much you are dead if you go under them while they are moving.
