I mixed and matched a few designs to get something generic-looking without stepping on any trademark toes.

The zip includes the .x file, a .tga texture, .tga lightmap, .bmp thumbnail and a basic .fpe

The default file paths are meshbank\user and texturebank\user, but you'll probably want to change those if you decide the keep the model on your system.

As with anything I put up here, it's free for use in commercial projects. Just don't redistribute the mesh and/or texture separately.

Cheers

- Graham

now this is a great model. High enough poly count but not too high and amazing textures well done. You could teach dark 3d game maker a thing or two.

There are two types of people in this world: people who are extremly cool and are good at everything and people who are me.

@ChrisB

Heh, you're close... in fact that would have been better but it didn't occur to me - I just loaded up one of the DBPro example files (I think it was the pyramid slider puzzle) and took a screen grab.

Heh, nicely done

It's a pity we can't do animated textures (yet) I'd love to have data scrolling up the screen. With the illumination shader applied in a dimly lit room that would look so good. Ah well, maybe in v2

Poly count is 36, and it can be picked up and thrown about at will (that's why I textured the underside )

Encrypto, that would have been an option if I owned a smart new laptop. Unfortunately I don't. This was Frankenstein-ed together from review images that I googled. The keyboard, side ports, rear panel, and underside are all from different makes of laptop, tweaked, rescaled and colour-shifted. The keyboard was then hand-retouched to correct problems with the light direction. It should remind you of various makes of laptop, without actually looking like any specific one.

I plan on taking digital photos of my LCD monitor though, should be cool to look at a model of my monitor on my monitor.
