Gernade Launcher

FPSC Ready -
Shoots Custom Gernades -

I've attached a texture pic. It's almost ready, and all that's left is a little more detail behind the barrel area and the animation. Then it's a matter of getting it in FPSC and looking good

It looks good, but you have some wasted polys on the barrel and the stock cylinders. The default settings for cylinders are stacks:6, slices:12. You should almost never do 6 stacks. It wastes polys alot. Change it to 1. Also, when doing slices, I usually enter 8, but 12 is ok.

Ya, there's probally some wasted pollies, but I've finished it so I won't bother now. Here is a screen of it in FPSC

Here's the finished version!

EDIT: Simply extract to [FPSC Dir]\Files\gamecore. To test it right click on the player and choose "con94/bazooka" as his weapon. I mean to have it say gernade launcher but I forgot But who cares?

It is animated so I'm sure you guys will be happy

Anyone willing to make it into an entity please feel free to do so and distrubute it.

Liscense: Free to use in commercial and non-commercail games, IF credit is given. You may NOT sell it, avoid giving proper credit for it, or include it in any pack. Made simple, DO NOT DISTRUBUTE IT UNLESS IT IS IN A GAME.

Edit 2: Well, it turned out looking WAY better than my pirate gun Which I lost when I transfred my data to my laptop for the summer

dude, I have question,

I just finished my grenade launcher too (dont worry mines a different type)

but if I fired more than 2 grenades on the screen at one time i got an illegal object crash.

I tried it on 2 or three guns and got the same result. So I guess Im asking how you solved that, so I can release mine!!

If you cant help, no worries, I'm thinkin of takin Jons suggestion and makin it a flak cannon instead....

If too many gernades are spawned, then it gives that crash. I've had that problem before I got the reload animation and giving gernades gravity. I think the fix is simply delaying the amount of time the player can fire the gernade. I still could fire more than 2 gernades - why don't you e-mail me and I'll see what I can do

A banana. One that is like the alien boomerang grenade in the scifi section. Flies in the air spinning around then explodes.

Thanks Nik

@Maeko - I think I'll make the bannana just because I've been dying to do something for an easteregg

@FredP - I was thinking of a double-barreled shotgun for a long time, so I think I'll do it now

Thanks Conner for the cool model.
It's nice when people do this as most here are young and don't have much money to buy this kind of stuff and they give there games away anyways.

I downloaded it and play with the grenade launcher.Excellent work

If I use it in my game can I retexture it or give it a new gun speck. Btw the Grenade Launcher in my game can fire six Grenades no problem and it never crashed

Airslide,

Excellent work, and I had no problem firing grenades as fast as it would reload. (21 in a row) I can see this as being a great weapon for a bonus (boss) level between regular ones.

Thank you very much.

Best

Uhhh - this thread is kinda old, but...

@Small Fish - Sure. You might like my new gernade launcher better when it comes out though (search: M79)

@xplosys - Thanks!

Its brilliant. It's great to see people giving these great
contributions to the board. It's very good for me, as I'm not allowed
to buy thigns off the net in general. My parents worry about getting
their C.C. number stolen, as they are unaccustomed to buying things
off the web.
