Well,,after a much long debate, I have decided to make my first model pack free to the community. This has a lot of stuff and I could have charged for it, but I wanted to give my first one away to you guys for all the help and such that I have been given.

Attached is a pic of a few of the items included,,,but whats not pictured are 9 different retaining walls, RR tracks, stop sign, street sign, over 40 warning signs, and a scaffold system.

This has an installer with it so all you have to do is install to the default entity directory.

Hope everyone likes this pack. I know it's not weapons or characters,,but I havent reached that high yet.

The download is 17 megs,,so it's only for the hardy at heart.

Here is the link

******THIS IS THE NEW LINK THAT HAS THE UPDATES LISTED FARTHER DOWN THE POST. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THOSE PATCHES.******

A hint for the electric fence for a good effect is to add a glowred decal to each light, then create a hurtzone lining the fence. The lights will go off when you get closer to the fence and touching it will create health loss.

See picture for the layout...

Hint on the RR tracks...place the rr ties first,,then place the rails over the ties,,and press enter to bring them on top of the ties. Line up the rails posts on the ties and they will set correctly,,,

See pic attached....

They are created in milkshape...The model file has not been included in the pack,,only usable files for fpsc..if you are interested in using these for skycubes,,feel free to e-mail me and we can discuss it.

Thanks

And here is the patch for the destroyed buildings. REMEMBER. You have to delete the .bin, .dbo files in the exhisting folder before using the new files or you probobly wont see a difference when you test it.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback. This is my first pack installation and I am working out some stupid mistakes when preparing them for distribution.

Great stuff Stamina,

Thank you.

The forum provides a means to hide our true identity. Too bad we always screw up and let it be seen.

Thanks to everyone for downloading and commenting.

As I learn more about the do's and dont's of modeling, I am always trying to create more realistic things for games. Learning to work within the limits of FPSC is probobly a great way to begin modeling.

My next project will be War ravaged buildings. This will take some time to create as I am trying to use more and more realistic textures and methods.

Stay tuned for more info and pics in the coming weeks.

Nice building Stamina but I think the window mouldings will add unwanted polys to the model. With it being on top of the building especially. But a far cry from the wood plank bridge I helped ya with a couple months ago.

any chance you can re-do the installer and include the material patched? I'm not bothered myself, I figured it might help out some of the newer users.

Butter,,thanks a lot for the generous comments,,along with everyone else. Make a person feel good to know something they have worked on learning ( for 3 months) paid off.

As for reconfiguring the installer,,thats a good idea. I will do that first thing tomorrow.

p.s. I currently have 4 buildings for my commercial pack. I am working out issues with collisions and players getting stuck in the floors, but getting close to haqving something worked out.

WOW 1.13 gigs of downlods on the pack..lol..thats funny.

Awesome! I'm downloading right now! I wish I could get more landscape stuff to work, the buildings would work great! lol everytime I try making an outdoor thing something always happens either it crashes, theres a huge bug, or it take like 10 minutes to load.. darnit. lol - Anyways great contribution! I'm sure this will go very far for the community.

The pack is now no longer available for download. If someone wishes it in the future,,e-mail me and I will put it back up for downloading. Saving bandwidth on my server for the next pack.

Thanks to all who downloaded and commented. Hope to see some screenshots of in game soon.
