Ok I got db i was wondering:
1)can you change the icon in an standalone program you make?
2)is there a code that will turn off the comp if a person tries to copy your file?
3)and last if you could sell any program/game you make with dark basic?

thank you if you can answer any of these questions

1) Look up "file resource editor" in Google. I personally use something called Anvil.

2) Hire a monkey to stand next to the power button and instruct him to turn off the computer if such a thing happens.

3) Yes, you can. No royalties. Don't plagerize though.

Copying files is a system thing, not an application thing. You would need to ask Bill Gates.

I think you'll find it really isn't an issue. If you are worried about piracy, think reg codes.

Thanks in advance.

if you just got db i wouldnt worry. itll be a while before you make commercial stuff. unless you have done some programming before. Lets just say i been programming for about 8 years and i still havent made any commercial level stuff. mainly because i have no artistic flair and so despite my normally good code, i have to use crappy art which i have downloaded from various websites or got from darkmatter (not saying darkmatter is crap but some of the animations... well you see for yourself.)
