Go ahead--laugh all you want. But I'll have you know that I'm used to you guys doing this, because on a different forum (which I am now banned from), this happened one too many times.

So I beg you to stop, because all this is just tech changes, that's all. It usually happens to the big games, to.

Then stop.

Out of curiosity, what are these tech changes? It's not like you could be going through too much considering that we are talking about FPSC.

People don't start like 10 games, finish none of them, keep on starting new threads and inside those threads changing the name / story / game completely.

Well if it's true it must be very confusing for him, not knowing what game he is making from one day to the next

@ American Infantry, big games don't go through as many changes as this, sorry you have the record but I have an idea for you, how's this... you continue but call it 'game with no name' then when it's all but finished... finally name it. Hope that helps.

By the way, banning you for changing your game too often is a bit harsh, I don't think they'll do that to you here.

Er... no. That sounds like a book title, movie or even game, and there's the risk he might change it by next week.

ID: LoP will be delayed until the downloadable-from-the-home-page version of v105 with ragdolls and such is released. I want this to have ragdolls, OK? And I'm really, really sorry about the name changing and all.

I don't stop until the person making me go stops. They won't ban you here. But they will laugh at you. So if you are going to do that, be prepared for the consequences.

Lee said that verzion 1.05 is not going to have ragdolls.

here
Quote: ""Hi Guys,

Just thundering through my V105 work and caught the evolution of my posting Ragdoll will not be in V105, nor in any FPSC public release for quite a while yet. It is VERY early code. Also, I am not adding anything that even remotely sniffs of a new feature or enhancement if I can help it. There is a genuine demand from the community for me to work on broken things, and I absolutely agree this should be where the priority must remain. We tend to add features as we go here at TGC, and I think that has created as many problems as pleasures for the community. Consider the next few waves of updates to be purely directed at solving todays problems, and avoiding the addition of Tomorrows problems

Just finishing off V105 RC1 now, so I will be able to upload it sometime later tonight under a fresh thread. I have also started an FAQ inside the readme.txt file of each update for FPSC, so anything I have not fixed because it is a quirk or feature of the product can be documented and explained properly.""

RickV said that v105 will have the SAME stuff as DX10, such as ragdoll and water, so...yeah.

And in that DX10 pics thread, you said "Can't wait for the ragdolls", so that proves my point.

Yes but LEE himself said that it will be a while before Ragdolls are released. They will be released however. I didn't know about the water though.

i think we should be nice to AI and let him finnish his game
if he doesnt we'll all know that if he makes a new game and changes it and we hack on him, its his fault for always doing it.

i think you should go back to the old name and leave it

X9 and X10 will be made by the same source code, so......yep.

I think Infantry Division sounds more army-ish.

Here is what I suggest you go do.

1. Go Break your hands so you'll not be tempted to make another game
that you wont even finish.

2. Just...... stop...... in general......just stop.

I may seem harse but dude......... you've got like what? 50 threads on a diffrent game that you didn't complete? I'm not usually this way but if this was my forum..... I'd have already banned you when you quit on your 4th game.

I think this game looks nice but man you're frigging annoying because you keep changing games.

This sounds like a good idea, but lets hire someone to do it for him. LOL, I swear I'll pay someone $50

Lol yeah. I've really only changed my game like once and I've never quit a project for no reason. My computer was completely rebooted and I lost all my files. That was my excuse.

Ok, well I'm not going to flame here. I made a post about my game that is mostly custom media, and it's fallen right down to the bottom because people keep flaming this one. I don't really want my game lost because a load of members didn't like this one, therefore, i'll offer you some useful advice (for the record, your original name was cooler):

Screen One:
-For a start lower the ambience, somewhere about 10 could be good. I'm not saying you should make it so you have to rely on lightmapping to see, but just darken the ambience a bit so that it doesn't look like that one light lights up the entire hanger.
-Get rid of all the big static guns. If I am correct, those are just for show and cannot be picked up. That's pointless, and they look pretty useless if you can't pick them up. Just replace with stuff like toolboxes, and more ammo boxes.
-Sort the lightmapping out for that lamp, make sure you get it exactly right or you just lose a lot of realism.
-Is that a junction box on the wall? If so, move it down a bit, so its in the middle.

Screen Two and Three:
-Great lightmapping
-Again, lower the ambience for more dramtic lighting effects.
-The wall by the staircase looks out of place in screen 3. Replace it with a chainlink fence or something.
-Get rid of the tractor thing. That doesn't look like warehouse machinery, it has a plough on the front. If you can get a forklift in there, it would look much better.
-Water dispenser should not be in a warehouse.
-Try adding some scattered papers on the floor or something.

I mentioned changing the Ambience. To do this go to File/Build Game/Level Settings/Global Settings and then change the ambience field to whatever value you want.

Hope this helps you,
Paul

@ Paul112: Thanks. I lowered the ambience to around 45.
Those big guns were there because there was a battle there. Too bad the corpses look alike.....
Thank you for you advice. In my next game, I promise, I won't change the name.

OK guys, I'll try my very best to follow your advice. I'm just going through some personal problems that you shouldn't know about. I'll beg and plead my dad to let me install the entity maker, but he's saying "You don't need custom media". I'll show him what you guys're saying, and maybe he'll understand. He doesn't even wanna play (or let me download) other members' games!!

Once again, I'm sorry, and I'll follow your advice.

@ Clone Gaming: Soon. Once I get an idea for level 1, I'll have a demo ready. But hey, some of you guys might be piraters. Just don't steal the model packs' and sounds' media.

@ BVG: Thanks!

I'll try my best to get a screen of level 5, I think, up later.

For a new PC. So I can't install and download what I want.

Thanks for comments. Unfortunately, I got too much on my plate (darn fat-boy instincts!), and I'm delaying this. I have a very nice idea for a game, and it's gonna be similar to Serious Sam. Ever played it?

IDLoP will be delayed, so I'll work on Tomb of Lost Battles.

I'm on the verge of flaming you. You are driving me nuts. And don't make a serious sam game because that game sucked. IDLoP? Don't you mean IDLiP? YouR game is called Infantry Division: Lost in Power

I highly doubt you were kidding, but maybe you were.

Hmmmmm, I wonder why we are acting like those guys. By now you should at least have a clue. And you won't get thrown out (most likely). You are alright at making games but apparently you just never learn.

Jenkins-Your not Mr. Imbetterthanallofyouidiots .
Leave that to the good guys like Locrian and BF.
I have never seen that great of a game come from you either. And I haven't seen a whole bunch of things YOU'VE contributed to the community.

Mods-I really hope this wasn't over sensitive. Please don't noob slap me or ban me if so.

[sigh] I don't recall ever saying anything about me being better than him. Actually his game is looking much better than mine.

And you're absolutely right, I haven't contributed much. All I've got to give is two meazely segments. I did make a 5 MP pack but I officially have the gayest computer in the world so I can't build any MP level. And I'm working on a free weapon pack but I'm partially retarded (not literally) and I can't get the uv maps done correctly.

I have respect, just none for him.

And I don't think we were arguing, more like.... I was hinting at him so common sense that he apparently doesn't have.

OK guys, I'll continue this game.

I thank Aaron and Mr. Makealotofsmoke for giving me respect. AND for commenting, once again, on my game.

I can't get any custom media of my own, that OK?

Sorry I went overboard. The forum I went on before I got perma-banned...the EXACT opposite of this. Throwing the f-word everywhere, mods banning newbs for no reason...I'm glad to be out of there. And they had the WORST comments for FPSC that I cannot repeat them here. I'll try to not go overboard, I gotta learn to not do stuff like repeating games and all. I wasn't thinking, but hey--we've all go our inner idiot.

Wait? I thought you said in a earlier game that you couldn't get any model packs cause your dad? And If I'm not mistaken that gun in your last screenie was from model pack 6. What's up with that?
Anyways, the room is too big. If you need any ideas then I'm here. I'm thinking about working on a HALF-LIFE knock off. ( Only to the extent of look alike maps and maybe a few entities)
If you need me just email me.

Why don't you make custom stuff? Search 'Anim8or' in google - a free modelling program. It exports to .3ds aswell.

Then download LithUnWrap. It now costs money, as someone took over the company, but dig about and you can find the old free version. It allows you to UV map models (organize what part of the texture will be applied to which part of the model) and it also exports to .x for easy import into FPSC.

And if you want it really easy, download the make entities from x files package from the FPSC website.

There you go, then all you need is a texture maker, like the GIMP.

Custom doesn't have to cost. For free, you can make your game stand out. I mean, click the link in my sig. Everything in 'lifeless' is pretty much custom, and I feel happy for doing so. Even if the models are stock, I made an attempt to re-texture, but I also did make some models.

My dad doesn't think I need custom media--which is fine with me.

If FPSC came with the Entity Maker, then I'd be happy.
