Has anyone got AC3D?

its a 3d application and with a google search you would have found it quite easily.

the option feature list looks impressive.
Each package has its nuiances and quirks you should learn previous to purchasing so you know its compatability with your intended target application usage.

I cant say as I havent used it yet but yeah theres a common streak of tests you can perform in each 3d package to stress test its abilities and features with compatability in mind of the media and your preferred game development package.

As far as modeling is concerned, you just can't beat free, open source Wings3D...It's free and the features list never cease to grow...

It is the only amateur software that's got a forum on Cgtalk.com that alone says it all.

I use AC3D for DBPro and you'll find that the proper web address is http://www.inivis.com

It's very good for model creation but it does not support Bone based animation at the moment so it might not be ideal for creating human based figures etc. Either way, check out the site, is has great import and export capability.

looks okay but it seems to lack things like turning edges.

When a software can create custom polygons it's easy to get around this...Every second vertex of a newly created quad will share the same edge...Choosing from which vertex you start making your face will influence the position of these 'shared' edges.
