Hi !

The competition ended a long time ago and I see that the games are not uploaded. It's not very serious :-(
I just finished my new website : http://www.pc-infogame.com so I decided to add my entry.

It's a french website but the game is in english :
-> Screenshots : http://www.pc-infogame.com/index.php?menu=15
-> Trailer : http://www.pc-infogame.com/index.php?menu=16
-> Game Download : http://www.pc-infogame.com/index.php?type=tel&id=8

I also made a kind of making of where I explain how I coded the game and modeled the environnement. There are a lot of illustrations and code snippets.

Enjoy !

I've tested the game and it's nice. But there was a huge issue with collision. You could partly go though walls, which was very annoying (with partly I meen that you're stoped by a wall, but when you are, you are so close to it that you can see though it). If there was an enemy on the other side of the wall, I just had to walk up to it so the bug appeared and then kill it.

The weapons where a bit static (when reloading it would be nice with some sort of reloading effect with them, if you know what I meen). And some of the weapons had a very fast reload-time.

Anyway, very nice game. Even if it's not perfect, I like it somehow. An idea would be that you could evolve it further to cover a number of missions (five to ten or even more, if you like) following a storyline. Than would really be nice. Good work .

Ohh, and the menu is awsome .

Thanks to have tried the game Your post is interesting.

About the collision issue, I agree with you, I also noticed this problem but it was too late to fixed it for the competition. It seems like the collisions are working but the camera can go though the walls. I'll try to see if it's not a NGC bug.

About weapons, you're true. It's too static.

Thanks for your comment, creating some missions is a good idea !

I really like SINGULARITY! Good game!
I'am SERDJO and my favourite game style is FPS, and I think that the combination of Doom-like with GTA-like would make great games!

I'am working on this idea: futuristic NewYork, first person shooter, car driving, action, explosions...
it's my new game project SERDJO3D.

Here are some programs I made for my game. It's well documented but it's in french. However, the source code can be easily understood.

Here are the subjects :
- Timer based animations/movements (characters, camera...)
- Billboarding (explosions, rain...)
- Dialog box
- Bitmap font
- Click and keys
- GUI and buttons
- Inventory like RPG
- Listbox (sort, add, delete...)
- Doors, lift
- Sprites

Enjoy !
