Is there any way of porting Cloggy's D3DFunc Plugin for DBPro into DGDK / DGDK.net? I'd like to use some text rendering functions that don't bring my FPS down to the point where I'd like to cry.

Yes it can be used. The source and header files are at the D3DFunc thread, ready to use.
If you want the latest version, I think Cloggy won't have any problem to post them there, just ask him for it.

You mean the source for the DBPro plugin? I don't think it will work with DarkGDK by just plugging it in, and certainly not with .NET, I believe a wrapper would have to be built, although I wouldn't know how to make one myself.

What's the matter? Have you even tried it?

Sorry, just trying to help, I thought you asked for both sides of the flavour.

Ok, maybe the creators of DarkGame can add some text/2d rendering functions that don't make me destroy my PC in a fit of rage? Or maybe just update the product once in a while?
I'm still wondering how the hell a product like DarkBasic can have an edge over DarkGDK/.NET which has no REAL community or extension support. Why are we always getting the butt end?
Oy vey.

Hi TGN. Have you taken a look at LightTextDX? It contains text rendering methods similar to the one's from D3DFunc (direct to DirectX text). It is using Managed DirectX 1.1 right now, but I'm finishing the migration do SlimDX (to get rid of LoaderLock).

Hope this help!
