Yea that's a hell of game , that '6o music just creep me out in the demo.
They made a great story but I'm afraid that the game will get bored just like Doom 3 or Quack 4.
I also going to buy the game soon at Steam.

Yeah I've got that art book too, I've been following that cult of rapture website for months leading up to the release. I just wish I could steal some of the ideas to use for my own!

wow, nice work

i love the shriveled up biceps and the stretch makes around the jaw are brilliant.

he has that child like "im lost, wheres my mummy!" look to his face (when his jaw is shut that is )

Yep, and the movie was great inspiration. Especially the scene where the beetle crawls in the side of his cheek and he eats it.

So I decided to do the left side of my mummy's face the same way, an open cheek with strands of skin between the jaws. Really creepy when you see him open his mouth in-game.

He looks like a zombie of hitman Nice man. Could you change their walking though because a mummy won't walk like a human it'll be more injured or corpsy.

Ha, yeah he kinda does, I don't know why but he does! He will also have his own custom walk, his mouth is animated, and there will be some sort of melee implementation along with a custom animation.

Thanks Rosstradamus I'm having a lot of fun using your pack in the X10 betas. It's a refreshing change from the usual sci-fi/modern day genre. I hope it does well for you.

I hope to pick up where your pack leaves off, with some characters and weapons. I'll be making some cool weapons based on 18th century pistols and rifles. And also a completely fictional "dart rifle" that uses a self contained air compressor to fire the darts. Should really fit the egyptian theme well I think.

Now, here's a bombastic Cleopatra! Her boobies jiggle when she walks - download a really nice high res video in divx format, 6mb: http://www.hyrumark.com/cleo.zip. Nothing fancy, just 20 seconds of her walking back and forth, and you can see how pretty X10 makes things in motion.

I gots to have the jiggly boobies, every other game has them, and now X10 will too. When I see how the final melee system works, I'll give her a dagger and a nice stabbing animation too.

Man she's a sugar babe!

Bond1, your work on these characters is superb, not being rude but if the main FPS character could sit down, I would make it do so and just watch the world pass by, especially when there are such babes as 'Cleo' here shakin their stuff.
One question, are you going to make any more civilian type characters, women & men (wenches & yomen)in this Theme?

Will the 'dagger' be a Fork Dagger and will she have one in each hand, if so, she could have three or four types of very swift (fast)melee attacks. I would love to see that.

Ross, yes she will be holding a blade similar to the one you posted, I'm thinking of the "catfight" scene in The Mummy Returns. As far as more civilian characters, well I'll be making a Pharaoh, as well as a bunch of pharaoh's bodyguard type characters. With texture and normal map variations, this should be well over 20 characters. There's also 3 LOD's for each character since X10 is now taking advantage of that.

Then it's time for a few new weapons...

Thanks for the reply.I like what I hear so far Bond1, 'catfight' scene, yes thats the one we all remember.
The 'walking' animation for the 'Cleopatra' model, seen in the video clip you supplied is 'Stunning' and so life like. I hope other users comment on this, as I think it is the best I have seen so far on any FPSCreator character.

Thanks for noticing that, I spent a good deal of time on it, to make it proud yet feminine. Having her bosom gently bounce up and down as she walks just adds so much to the realism, even if you don't quite notice it right away.

I showed this to my wife in-game, and she looks for a minute and says, "Wow that looks really good....wait a minute...are her boobs actually BOUNCING?! Pervert." Hehe

I've learned a heck of a lot since doing the animations for model pack 4, and you're gonna see a lot of cool stuff in this pack, animation-wise.

Lol it is kind of perverted, but it will sure add realism to our games! Now you just got to make the model pack 4 girls have jiggling boobs XD! Hmm, wonder how much the jiggling will be going if she is shooting a gun, or doing a melee attack...

The mummy returns is a great movie I love it....so If you could make your characters do a bit of chick-on-chick action that would be great. lol

You need the free divx codec to view the video: http://www.divx.com/. Then you can watch it right in Windows media player.


Thanks for the comments, although I won't have jiggling throughout the entire animation sequence, I think it will be worthwhile to have some jiggling up close for the melee attacks.

Thanks, and in case anyone is interested, this is the person I used as a general reference when modeling the head, Aishwarya Rai. Looks a bit more like her in the max viewport though, X10 tends to stretch out things a bit.

Hey Trinity, I would, but unfortunately I think that Youtube's limited quality would destroy the subtleties in the animation. It really needs to be viewed at a halfway decent resolution to see the effect. If you grab the free divx codec you should be able to watch it no problem.

Here is a video clip of the two melee attacks, a throat slash and a stabbing motions. Also made the dagger in about 10 minutes, texture and all. Once melee has been finalized I might add a second dagger in the other hand. The clip is a render from max.

Maybe you can make some Egyptian animals or bugs ?
Like a snake , crocodile , camel or large scarabee.

It will be cool , you can use that stuff a lot.

Yeah you're right about that, it could use some follow through. I have a sore shoulder, I must've acted out those animations in front of a mirror about 200 times apiece. Next time I think I'll just record myself with my digital camera instead.


I don't think I'll do any more melee animations for the time being until I have a working example in my grubby hands on how it will exactly work, so I don't have to redo a bunch of stuff. I don't really know how far the character will need to "lean" in to make it look right, if at all.

I had a great idea but i'm not sure whether it can be done.
The idea concerns the animation for a death sequence of a character when it is killed or when it has reached the end of it's health points.
It would be great if a character,at the point of death,would 'crumple up and fall to the ground or disintigrate into a pile of ashes.
I know that this would require a lot more animation and modeling but what do you think about this option?

It would be great to see a new kind of 'death sequence' especialy with the kind of characters that you are now designing.

That's a cool idea but I don't think it would be possible just with modelling and would probably require quite a bit of programming help.

With ragdolls now the defacto death, there's more than enough of a coolness factor though. For example, on characters with rigged mouths, their mouths will drop open when the die. I placed a bunch of mummies in a room and went nuts. It was really cool how their mouths would fall open as they fell on top of each other. One even did a complete somersault on top of another!

I haven't shown many pictures lately, but I've finished a new character and have started on the final character before moving on to the weapons.

Another update - here is one of pharaoh's bodyguard. Nothing fancy about the screenshots, but notice just how good the lighting is from the latest beta, you can really notice the direction of the light source.

He'll be holding an egyptian battle axe eventually.
