And so do I, as do other members around the forum, who could probably put it to better use.

I think i've seen some threads around here asking for it before, not too sure though.

Why do you think I want it? How about to expand and improve my games. Seriously dude, lay off the crack. What kind of questions was that.

I mean what features do you want to put in. Better allies, new movements, better physics/shaders?

EDIT: And that was uncalled for.

First of all, seeing that you are a grumpy old fellow, you are definitely not special. I have no idea why you snapped at TGPEG. There are many members of this forum that would love the updated source to mess around and put to better use than you. There is no reason Lee will think "Wow, that Jeremiah guy asked me really nicely, and it warmed my heart. I think we should give him the source."

I thought you were calling me retarded and stating that I would not be able to do anything with the source. That is what seemed to be implied by that type of question. I did not feel given the adversarial nature of this board that you were asking a genuine honest question about what I was hoping to do. I am sorry that I asked if you were on crack. Please accept my appologies

@inspire; first off you know nothing about me or the work that I have done. Secondly, I have exceeded just about all posibilities available to me with what is available, and that I would like to take my games to the next level.

What do you consider your attack against me. Polite???

Apology accepted. I also apologise, looking at it, the way I phrased the question was a bit spiteful, but I didn't mean it to come out that way.

So, how expireneced in DBP are you? Cause if you look at the current source just finding where to change things is often a needle in a haystack (Thank god for 'Find'!)

I am fairly decent with the dark basic language structure, but I am more of an old hat c and pascal programmer. Just not good enough to build an entire game engine from scratch... well maybe if I had 20 years

LOL. I can usually get a decent game engine up, but once you start getting into the game...that's when the trouble starts

I can't usually get the engine up, but once it's up, I'm fine.

Wow. The X10 source code? Seriously? Maybe the X10 for free idea might not be as ridiculous as I said it was.

that is true, and you would need to own dark basic X-10 to edit the code as well I believe.

Yeah, that is right. DBP X10 will also be a bit different the DBP X9, so there will be a bit of learning to do, even for veterans (according to something I read on the forums).

@ Jeremiah:

That is great news! I bet we are going to be seeing a lot of updates around that time!

If he is releasing the source it IS open-source... You see, the source is open for us to see it...

@Jeremiah:
YES! Finally! But christmas, that is (for me): *calculating*

Yet...

@Lee Bamber + Whoever else works on FPSC
You don't have to release the source to FPSC, but why haven't you?

@Jeremiah

If you haven't been coding in DBP long then you should really practice a bit more before diving into the FPSC source, it is the most difficult to follow code ever conceived by man (apart from hlsl of course).

I'm going to look for Empty's Mod Source and merge it with 1.06 after Christmas. If I can find Empty's Source. Only reason I didn't use Empty's mod now is that I would have to part with MP 5 and 6.

Uhhhhhhh.... I forgot

Lee gave the source code to Urlforce...

I'm sure with a gentle, honest inquery about recieving the newest source, he will provide you with the same download that he gave Urlforce.

The one and only,

Dude, I'd rather be declared a dbpro noob than an fpsc legend any day!
