Is there anyway to make a matrix look like it's moving with out moving the actual matrix

Scroll matrix 1 doesn't work because all of the tiles look the same

Help... Please...

All of my provious 3D projects have failed and I don't want the same to happen
I don't know i can't tell!
I push the button and run like hell!

you might consider not using a matrix

or you might make an animation for a tile...

do all your tiles have the same texture on them?
Maybe they are scrolling but you can't see it because they are the same?

i have a solution that involves NO movement of the matrix. when preparing the matrix texture, break that tile down into 4 separate textures, make your matrix have 4x the tiles it's supposed to have, then texture it so that it looks just like it did when the tile was one texture. then scroll matrix WILL make it look like the ground moves when you shift it one grid space.

But then you have to shift only in increments of the tile while also adding more polygons to your scene.

a more detailed scene is a good scene (although a little slower)

you'd only need 2-4 movements(or 4x-16x the tiles) to make the movement look real. and if the matrix wasn't totally level(i.e. had bumps or hills), what you said to do would make the hills move back and forth and not merely the textures covering them. unless that's actually what he wanted......................

oh well, whatever pricey decides to do..................
