Your name is Jake Otaia (pronounced Oh-tie-ae). You are a worker for a crime investigation team, first day on the job. You get a key and enter the hallway to your lab. But about half way through the hallway you see a blue light. you go over to investigate. It turns out you can walk through the wall. You continue walking through dimly lit hallways until you find a room with a table. It has a lit candle on it, two statues and a fireplace. There is a vault. You open it, and it reveals a cave. You continue walking, then you see a futuristic hallway. At the end is a glowing sphere on a table. When you walk up to it, the whole world goes blank... Now you are on The Quest for Essmoshon. (pronounced Es-mosh-hon)

This game is going to be really good. I know the story's a bit twisted but I know where I'm going with it. Your main weapons will be spells which you will learn (the game is fantasy). And there's a reason for the weird last name and it explains everything throughout the game. Screenie 1 attached. I know there's a lot of hallways in the first level and it goes from fantasy like to scifi. But it will all make sense.

Sounds like fun....but!

(just trying to help)

Okey the first screenie looks okey.

Second one looks great!...but maybe you could put some
more entities in it.(that is the hallway leading to the sphere right?)
Because if it is, then nobody but you had taken that hallway
so it should look like nobody has been there for years.
Therefore some spiderwebs, some boxes, etc etc....will make it look that like that "old" hallway.

Also screenie (cave)...
Maybe you could make some custom meshes with a more rocky
kind of structure...so it looks like a cave.

Screenie 5.(sci-fi)...
Would look a lot better with a total retexture.
And also for the sphere...
Make it glow...put some lightrays that shine from the sphere
so it looks "unnatural".

Anyway just trying to help.

Sounds good, screenies also look good. Could I help you because I like sci-fi and fantasy and I'm fairly experienced with FPSC. I can't script or model but I know how to use the editor quite well.

okay, I added a few more things to the hallways and the room with the round table. I also changed the cave segment. I'm making a cobweb decal soon. If anyone wants to help out, it would make my job a lot easier. Anything from textures to decals to entities or even weapons, anything will help. And if all you can give is a comment about how you like it or how to improve then that's great to.

I have finished the first level. If I were to model and texture sword, could anyone animate it and get it fpsc ready. They would get to use the weapon for whatever game they want.

Thanks cheese cake, if you could model anything that's fantasy-ish. Like old houses, boulders, trees, rocks, ground segments. Or maybe a cobweb decal. Whatever you can do to help is fine.

I'm currently working on the second level, you end up under a graveyard in a giant tomb. I have to edit the first post where I said it's scifi\fantasy not horror\fantasy. Because it isn't at all horror but it has some creepy parts.

This is looking really cool, has a great appearance to it.
The planar trees dont handle shadows too well tho, they are for distant use and already have baked shadows, place lights on each plane,or try the fully 3d tree.
You might also want to try creating illumination maps for the lanterns.
Still like it though.

Lookign very nice. But that grass area is very odd looking try making a 3rd peice that combines the both, if you look at the ground in this screenie you will see they both merge. Just adds abit of realism I guess.

Good Luck.

@rolfy, That means a lot coming from you (we worship you on these forums). I will try putting a light by each plane. But I want to keep those trees because they're really low poly (thanks for them btw). And I don't know how to do illumination maps.

@phil17, okay, I will try that. But could you post the segment that mixes the grass with the dirt please?

EDIT: Oh and phil17, I like that sketch on your site of the sewer, would you like to do some art for the game?

Ok I dug out those 3 textures, all you have to do is add them to fpsc. Here is the Download.

About concept art, im abit busy atm...with trying to model and texture. Plus I have my own game which is being worked on. Im sorry but atm I just cant do it.
Enjoy the textures.

I'm kind of lost. Is it like your thrown back into the Dark Age in an alternate universe? Diffrent, sounds like something that would come on on the Sci-Fi channel.

@Drapes#10, There will be updates soon.

@ASTEK, it's an alternate universe that has less technology, or so the people think.

I'm using the pitcrawler, so I'll have to ask rolfy if I can use it for commercial use. Because this game might be commercial.

Ummmm... I would improve on everything A LOT if you are going to do so. Not to be rude, but for commercial quality... I would.
