I tried Buttercutter on some custom segments I made, it messed up the BSP, it may be because I made the floors 10 units high, the standard ones in fpsc are lower in height, Ill try them with a lower height in the floor. I also dont make my segments with inner and outer walls, I just make them with single walls, so perhaps that messed it up.

Also I have segments that are 20,40,60 and 80 units in depth, is it possible to shunt the buttercutters forward so the line up, at present they are made for the standard sized walls, which I think is 10 units in segment depth.

here is the fps to my segment.

I ordered it on Dec. 31st... and I still haven't heard anything back. I payed and everything. So, am I gonna get it or not? Not trying to be mean, but it has been well over a month now and I haven't gotten anything other than paypal saying the payment went through. I'll email Butters soon I guess and see what happends. I really want to use this.

I have been waiting 4 days. Butters if you do not process peoples
orders, you will lose orders for you products. The stuff you make is excellent, but people do not like waiting once they have paid.

@Scope
You're right.
But something tells me you're gonna have to wait a lot longer than four days. I've been waiting almost two months now.

Maybe we should all ban together and post a topic warning everyone else not to buy it until he starts actually giving the product to those who've already payed for it? That way no one else looses their money. I really don't wanna have to make Butters loose business like that but I feel it's becoming the only way we can get his attention at this point. He's not answering emails either.

Yeah what's the deal here? Butters has been back here too...he was MIA for a while because he said he had a death in the family.

I asked him about it in his "please don't let Disturbing 13 go" thread but didn't get a response either. And I am the most important person on the face of the earth.

I want to place an order too, but I needs to know I'll be getting it.

...I know for a fact that Butter Fingers is over at IGN helping them with a commercial game title.

I believe that it was mentioned regarding the "Don't Let Disturbing 13 Go" thread that he was
abandoning the FPSC boards, and joining IGN's. Not 100% positive, but I believe that's what's happened.

ive tried contacting him via his website. guess he's abandoned that too?

if you're going to abandon products, then 2 things, firstly REMOVE automated payment thing from your site paying for it (unless you want to deliberately rip people off)
and 2 - maybe just release the product as freeware, as is, not supported.

Thats not funny! Law protect customers too. NOT only authors and sellers!!

You media creators always argue about piracy. But if somebody make a complaint you give him a [Removed]. Respect for exceptions.

Butters. If you don't have time to do your duty (sending the download links to your paid customers) then you have two choice:
- Remove the paypal link from your site or
- Set it to automatic file delivery

danjo:
You need to make a compliant in your paypal account. I don't know how to do it. But you can do it. Somebody wrote the method on buttercutter's forum on the product's site. But somebody, probably the author removed the forum. The man wrote that he gave his download link after he made a compliant in his paypal account.

Good luck danjo. I hope you will get what you payed for.

I never made any claim of the sort. I have no intention of only residing at the IGN boards. But thanks for spreading that false rumour, it's very constructive.

AS long as your here, with my own segments I had holes appear in the geometry, as in some sort of BSP error, not HOM error, the other when you have errors with odd holes and parts missing, you get it in other engines when there is a BSP error of some kind, now with segments by other people (TGC etc) its fine, but with mine, we get the error, they was tested on segments of different depths, 10, 20, 30 units etc, perhaps the triangulation of the model has to go all one way, Ive no idea what is causing the error with my own personal segments and buttercutter, any ideas.

FO,
I don't know dude. I don't have any problem with my custom segments, although nothing works on segs over 20units.

What are you exporting from? And what format is your direct X mesh exported as (binary, uncompressed etc).

Your floor problems are definately going to happen on any segment where the floor is not at the default height. I guess the same goes for things like the model pack 3 ceilings.

could be the floor, my floors are 10 units high, Im sure the default is less than that, that could be whats doing it, also you are saying one cannot cut into segs over 20 units with any cutter of any type?

But hey, i will correct myself to avoid any confusion,

Hello,

Having waited for a month to receieve buttercutters, I decided to search here on the forum if anyone else had the same problem and now I see more or less what the situation is. Don't want to bother anyone just to let know Butter Fingers that I'm still awaiting my order (maybe your Hotmail is blocking my yahoo address?).

Thanks a lot,
