We are the owners/creators of our respective packs; so yes, absolutely. I have a specific map idea that I'd need your segments for.

Nice texture work, by the way.

ok had a great idea for the Castle wall and that was to make it as a full fpsc scale box, see image to see what i mean, this has given the Castle theme a whole new look!

Made 4, striate, corner, dead end and an open for steps!

Unless this becomes an official TGC pack, which does have a fair chance of happening, I can't buy it cause of my parents maybe I could trade you for something, I want this to use is X10 but that should be no problem as segments that were made for the X9 version should work in X10. Maybe you should make a bit more segments (some outdoor ones maybe), maybe a moat water decal, a few good entities or even weapons and a character or two would make this pack more complete and would severely boost the price (plus TGC would certainly consider this pack then). Unfortunately FPSC doesnt have an abundance of medieval castle entities so you would have to make some for it to be much use in a medieval game for us who can't animate Good luck with the pack,

stairs, you have added an extra edge in them, each step is made from 2 parts, least it looks that way, thats doubled the poly count, its a waste of polys, each step one part, bot two, just delete the extra edge its got in it.
Castle walls, they have the square set off on them, dont mind as an extra segment, but do the regular kind, as it adds loads of extra polys, fpsc runs as slow as hell, so one has to think of these things.
Also on the stairs, id extrude a railing/ledge, just create a edge on the step, extrude it then clean it up. that way they dont fall of the stairs.

X, I'm thinking that a castle would make one heck of a MP Arena. It looking great.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Is this released yet, Ive seen tons of castles started, they never get finished, you would think someone would release a barbican wall at least.

Looking great man!
And great idea!

But...why not in different themes?
So like:
The knight sort of castle,
A sort of fort,
Big royal castle.
A dark castle with strange thing everywhere...(for the evil side)

Just an idea.

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

Cheese Cake has a good idea, and it most of it could probably be accomplished with different textures. Of course, I don't want to delay the release of this pack any further.

What you REALLY need for this is statues....
I mean like huge majestic statues of kings to make the player feel belittled by the places grandeour!!!!

But what you have already is enough to make that happen....

Hi,
This is starting to look good, I think the textures need to be a little more dirty or ancient looking. The ramparts look very blocky and remind me of MARIO castle hahahahaha I would put the odd one or two broken or cracked in to give that worn torn look.

Also some slit/cross windows would be good and maybe some tower sections/dungeon sections would go very nicely with it also.

Great start though and would buy it if a complete set.

arrow slits can be done with a simple mesh that fixes on the wall and the slit is just a texture, the mesh above will slow things down, one has to think of optomisation, FPSC can run like sludge at the best of times, thats why I said about the barbican should have a version that is just a bunch of extrudes nothing more. even at that its a lot of polys, say you had 5 barbicans per section, if we had 100 segments, thats 500 cubes, thats a lot, thats why on that part you have to keep it simple.

Cheers,thats looking good X Games.

I hope you don't rush this pack because I think it's what a lot of people are after and it would be a shame to see your excellent standards slip.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.

@X Games -
Is there any chance that we can purchase an advance copy with the segments that you've done already? I'm exploring the possibility of using the FPSC editor to make my dungeons and this is the only pack that I've seen that would be appropriate for such a thing.

Come see the WIP!
