This is something TGC should tackle right away. When you swim on the surface of the water, The camera doesn't know if it should show above the water, or under the water, and it seems to flicker both. Just download one of the demos and you will see what I mean if you go in the water.

What should be happening is the camera showing you above the water. No one swims on the surface of water with their head under water.

How did that not get caught in the beta?
Oh well. I'm guessing this is just the start of issues. We need to hope for a significant patch/upgrade sometime in Q1 of '08.

Getting ready to make a FPSC x10 bug reports sticky...same rules for posting in it will be the same as posting x9 bug reports so be sure to read the stickies in the x9 Bug Reports forum.
If you don't post bug reports per Lee's sticky they will be edited/deleted.
This will hopefully suffice until proper x10 forums are decided.

3. Please read my sticky on what will happen if you don't follow Lee's instructions.

5. Failure to adhere to these very simple instructions will get your thread deleted at the earliest opportunity to do so.

"Newgame.tga" (basic) isn't copied to the built game folder.

For some reason, while the game is being built, the file isn't copied, we need to copy it manually.

Dind't try with custom pic, on the weekend i'll try it, unless someone makes that first.

It is not stupid posting your system specs.It may not have anything to do with it as far as you are concerned but to Lee or someone who may try to address your problem it will tell them some of what they need to know.
It is also a requirement when posting a bug report.
I know it may seem silly but just the fact that you posted your specs will get you help quicker than if you didn't.
I don't have x10 but I know with the x9 version you had to manually copy some things from the Files folder in your FPS Creator folder.
When the game is built some things just don't copy over into the built game folder.
At least you do know the file has to be manually copied so that has to take some of the sting out of it.
And thanks for posting a decent bug report.

Scale dont work.
Scale = Needs to be fixed so its working again every model in pack 11 is using the scale feature.

Corridors show missing walls.
Some Corridors have missing walls in test game.

Poster. I have not seen much on this and here is my question. While FPSX10 imports the image, it says the path is wrong for the pic? Any ideas, they are in jpg format. See attached.

Enemies reload when their properties are set to Loaded Weapon: Yes.
I get alot of problems when I have enmies spawn later in the game using the:
Spawn At Start: No, Maximum Spawn: 1.
Their AI starts to go funny and they will randomly start to run around. The worst is when the entities will turn invisible showing only their guns, until you shoot them dead, they will ragdoll and can be seen again. This HAS something to do with how close you are to them, if I back up the enemies texture will load up again, until i get closer.



Also I added a friend entity in a level, later I killed an enemy but even when the enemy was dead, the friend continued to fire at nothing.

I think somehting is wrong with the targeting. I put a friend in a level with Health: 1 and an enemy both set to spawn when they are triggered. It took the enemy 2 minutes to get 1 shot into the friend, the 2 minutes was spent strafing wildly.

Sometimes when you have killed an enemy under water, when you climb out their body can not be seen, until you climb back in, it will reapear.

Ive set the Fog Level to 0 so many times but every time I exit a test game then load it back up, it will go back to default creating fog underwater.

Say I want to add a sound to an entity, usually FPSCX10 will display the last folder you saved in which is most commenly a level (FPSC X10 Files/mapbank). But i want to access audiobank which is outside of the FPSC X10 Files folder meaning I will have to go though:
MyComputer/LocalDisk/ProgramFiles/TheGameCreators/FPSCreatorX10/Files/audiobank/user, just because I saved my level.

New error has arrived! No idea what for, i didnt do anything out of the ordinary.



Apart from these error/bugs FPSCreatorX10 is awesome! Keep it up TGC!

what is your system spec.
and are you using custom scripts
or the scripts in x10.
not sure but the resource monitor shows
a few high setings perhaps it is lagging a bit,
has it done the same thing on other levels you made
or just this 1,and did you have the beta version
becouse i had probs until i manualy uninstaled
everything. and if you have ragdoll then i dont think that
you would not of used the auto update?.

Just messing with triggered spawning, enemies and allies, first time.

I have a bug too...When i complete a level...it shows building test game...But when it Says (Sving textures {6} 99%) It just closes after that...So when will there be an update...?

Okay heres to point it out to you @ DJ Professor K

When i click on Build test game... It shows the screen building my test game...But when it get near to finishing, It gets to this part [saving textures[6] 99%] right when it gets to that part, the screen blinks...then 5 seconds pass it shows the error screen...then i press ok...and it closes...Got any ideas? and i found out that the Large Window (fake) doesnt work as well in test game....

Hi all!

I just can't get my head around this. I build a game in the editor but when I want to test it, the mouse pointer freezes in the middle of the monitor and can't test the game. The computer doesn't freeze but I can't click on anything since the mouse doesn't move only a little in the middle of the screen. Every time it happens I need to restart the computer. Can anyone help?

Specs:
AMD 64x2 dual core 5600+, 2gb ram
NVidia 8600GT 256mb
Vista home premium

I think you must wait fot the game starts en do nothing when its loading.

This also happens to a few people (X9 and X10). Press ALT+TAB to switch to your game.

I've had a problem with altering the Global Script. I've been trying for a while to change the HUD for my project, but whenever I go into the global script menu to change it, the FPSC-Map Editor crashes. It happens immediately after I open it, but I can continue to alter settings up until I press "Close Program". That fact doesn't help though, since I can't press OK to save my changes (obviously). I tried manually changing the .fpi and .fpid themselves and loading it, but that doesn't seem to change anything.

My specs are:

2GB RAM
Q6600 Intel Quad Core Processor 2.4GHz
GeForce 8800GTX 768MB
Windows Vista Ultimate

Whenever I build a game I get the game screen, but the new game option isn't there. Cliking where the "new game" bar
should be does nothing.

Looking at the the manifest generated in the compiled folder I see that a lot of images are reported as "not found".
Searching for these images I see that they exist, but in PNG format. Apparently FPSC10X is looking for DDS files.

AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core 5000+ 2.61 Ghz

check your graphic card settings, nvidia has a utility to blurr edges and such.

The feature that smooths the jaggy edges in games and programs is called "anti-aliasing". It smooths out jagged- edges by adding some extra pixels around the edges. Dunno if FPSC's engine directly allows it, in other words, does it have a AA feature of it's own at all.

AA can consume quite alot of memory and reduce framerates, which is why some people leave/turn it off. You can also make the jaggies less noticeable by increasing the resolution, but with lower resolutions, AA is more noticeable. No matter how powerful card you have or how much memory your PC has, unless you either use a very large screen resolution or turn the Anti-aliasing ON, the edges will always look jaggy. They can also be simply ignored, they are way less noticeable in the motion.

i also i must say that i got the fpsc 1.0 since the beginning !
and now it just have to do with it in FPSC X10 again great grafic card!
is what you need! and a bigger pc! ill hope you make this peace work pretty soon cause i and many have to begin asking if this is serious!

And i havent got a singel game ready that i will put ny name on !
and now with the fpsc x10 it seems to be the same!bugs , bugs !
i cant either try my games cause its no play game knob there wake up before its too late cause im not spending any dime till its fixed !'great of you to get this product finished till christmas !
so it can be sold to a larger scale! but i may think the modelpack is i a dangerous condition! i dont think people will bye them if they are not 100% x10 ready!

It seems that the problem is that the compiler doesn't copy the images into the compiled folder if they are not TGA format. If I locate the images and copy them to the corresponding folder it works fine.

Annyone notice that when you stand close to Juggernaut, you can see through parts of him?

Apparently there are some rgb 0,0,0 areas in the uniforms texture.

Ive also noticed that when i push the c button for crawl!
it sounding like im crawling in water even if the water level
is mutch lower!and not in the room at all!

@ ricwid : is english your first language... please stop moaning and quit posting over and over just edit your last post if you have something to add before somebody else responds. The last picture you posted its the edge of a sky box, I have done one in dbpro before and if its the same as what was happening to me in dbpro they have the texture blending mode set wrong it would take lee 30 seconds to fix the actual code. as for the other areas thats the lighting showing up the true polygons that make up the model this can be fixed by developing shaders for them, changing your lighting or go away and make your own high poly media that you can "put your name on".

I think its time that a mod comes in here and cleans up all the threads that are not about bugs.

It will be easier and cleaner if all the bugs listed in each of these threads were at the start. Not only would it help us (the users) but it would also help Lee as he would be able to see all of the user submitted issues at the front of this thread.
