About the model:

This model took me about 2 1/2 hours to build with wings 3d
I plan to use it on one of my own projects.(Someday)
I'm still thinking of a more creative name then
"Speciety Force Character."

Noticed Flaws:Alright here are some flaws that I already no of.

1.)Front upperchest is a little messed up.
2.)Arms should be more connected to the shoulders.
3.)There aren't really any shoulders.
4.)Nose is sticking through mask.
5.)The butt isn't connected(yea, pretty scary)
6.)Hands need to be improved upon.

These are just 6 things I've listed, after taken a short look at the Specialty Forces Character.

Note:The thing around his head is suppose to be like a gas mask.
The thing on top of his head is a flashlight.

Please post your critique on this model so I can improve upon it before texturing it.

This model currently weighs in at 1208 polygons. Many of the areas can be disolved, so I figure I could get it down to 1150 currently, but after all the adjustments, I predict between
1250-1400.

Hope you enjoy.

What's scarier than not having a connected butt is the fact that he's got no groin.

I would move those vertexes on the corners of the torso out a bit more so it looks more round Also I think that's too many polygons on the feet for that level of detail. I've created some good looking feet in under 20 poly's.

Spelunker Robot version anyone?

Not bad but use the Tweak mode to shape it better at the joints areas and in some other spots to un-unify the extrude bevel/scale.

Cool Yellow, I think it's a big improvement on your last model, much more in proportion, especially the legs.

A few things to improve apon - The legs and arms don't need so many segmants, and the chest needs more shaping and polys (as you said in your post). Keep going on this and I can really see it turning out well .

Thanks for your advice.

Here's the update
1.)he has a groin now
2.)Butt is connected.
3.)Chest is less boxy
4.)nose doesn't stick through the mask
5.)hands look more like hands.

As soon as I fix the other problems I will texture it, and see what I can dissolve to lower the polycount.

Thanks for all your tips, and advice.

Also, before I texture it I am gonna dissolve a lot of the chest, and some of the faces on the feet.

Getting it down to 20 polygons for the feet probebly won't work.
I'm thinking about 30-35.

Current polygon count is at 1248, so it hasn't gotten too high yet, but the chest needs lots of work.
I'm still figuring I can keep it at 1200 by the time it is finished.

Yeah, today I was thinking about it and that is too little, I must of been thinking of vertexes. My mind's been somewhere else this week, I need more sleep .

I'll post the model so you can see it once I've textured it.

I figure I'll have that sometime tomorrow late afternoon, but no guarentees. The screenshots will be 150% better than what was previously here.

Current polygon count: 1275
