Wow!
This is just what I've needed.
As you can tell if you look at my 3d model that I recently put in, I couldn't even do a good face, so I did a mask.
(it saved some poly's though.)

I'm definitly giving this a run through.

If you need help try to figure what tool was used for an operation just ask me(supplying the number of the frame would be recommendable though)

If I've seen it all before, why's this bus taking me back again?

Thank you for your help, I'll post here if I have any trouble, but should be able to pick it up after some experimenting.

interesting... normally i shape the eye sockets around a token eyeball

though the entire way he did the head is a little weird to me - my usual way is a side polygon with the major features cut, pull out the shape inwards to the face the do finalise cuts

I pride myself that i don't kill...
well not without a good reason

FOr my part I'd usually cut a circle and Inset the face but I think on that one that he beveled points.

Neato, that's a lot like how I do it in 3D Canvas Pro for bodies and stuff.

For faces and heads though, I use the Surface Tool with front/side views and start shaping profiles in both axes and then refining the final details afterwards. I'm not sure what the Wings3D equivalent to that is.

Arras:No but there's alot of stuff to learn from them and some, like the Yoda head tutorial, are made in Mirai which Wings3D is the equivalent to.

Just don't expect to be able to add detail as fast as with with wings (you're using milkshape right?)

dont worry...

Milkshape is not all I use bye the way...

Yoda tutorial can be found also at www.fineart.sk in normal form with comments...good to see both...

...and I will probably give a look to Wings3D when I have some time...if you propagate it so much

I do?

Yes,the Mirai Yoda tutorial is good but the Jeanne D'arc one is more recomendable for it's a complete character tutorial and applyiable in many software,I mean,if you hang a bit around CGTalk.com,you'll see Michel Roger à l'Oeuvre
