This is my real first FPS game, it's titled "Darkness Comes" Now this project is still way, way, way under construction as you will see. I'm only posting screen shots of the first map to see what others think so far. No remember this is really one of my first FPS's so please don't be to harsh...

I apologies for the way the screen shots are presented, I don't know how to present them any other way...

Hero's get remembered, but legends never die... I am that legend.

I am going to give you the same tips I gave another guy:
-more entities
-not a lot of caves\hallways
-signs on walls
-custom entities or textures
-make sure there is at least eighteen entities to every 6x6 room
-make rooms no more than 8x8
-make entities static so there is no lag
Now put the tips to good use.

P.S. How did you get that mini map in the corner?

They should have kept the little map in the regular mode. It would own.

Nothing about this game that's jumping out at me. But I'll say to you what I say to all the other first-game-ers out there: it's better than my first game.

looks good for first game, but you're getting a horrid frame rate throughout it looks like.

To the first post, thank you for the tips, but I already had some of them in mind. That map you saw was far from done, but thank you anyway.

To the last post, Yeah I don't understand the frame rate thing, I could make a small 6X6 room with no walls and no entities and still get a frame rate of like 20 below... can anyone help me with that... I know it's not my computer, I have all the highest requirements, I know I upgraded it myself...

the fourth screenie is pretty good for a first timer, the fire and smoke with a burning car (or what it looks like) , nice.

Thanks all, and thanks up there for the downloads, but I really can't get the latest directX because it's supposedly only for vista and I don't have vista.
