Dang, I'm in a pickle (as they say)! I can't compile DBP now because the CD checker won't detect my DPB CD! Help!
1.00 GHZ processor, 256 MB RAM, GeForce 3 64MB, SB Live!, 8 cans of soda per day

Try running the program from the start up menu.
I had the same problem and that seemed to work for me.

use a register editor like regedit (i think there on the microsoft site somewhere, if not search for them) to change the register entry shown below.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Info]

and change
"fileinfo" to "-99999999999999" so u'll never be bothered by the cd check again! Brill!
