Any movie of it?

Not to act annoying or something, But we have had enough vaporware before. And this could just be a print command on a screen. Or an edited image.

EDIT: With movie, I mean like 4 people running in it, 2 per team. And if they can still shoot eachother or whatever Team Deathmatch must be like.

How is it set up? How do you determine teams?

I mean, do you choose your team before spawning, or is it dependent on the character you choose?

What else does this V2 include? Is there flak etc?....oh yes and how do we get a copy?!

THis is great work man, and something I'd love to have a play with. Well done.

I am currently adding more features like team kill and scoring wise.
I will release it soon, some of you may get it in your email for testing as soon as today.
Your team is picked through the character you choose to play. All of our characters we either named "Team Allies" or "Team Axis" I made it that way incase someone did not want teams in their game.

I am going to pretend I didn't hear the "v" word. Nope, didn't work. POD if you have a problem with believing me search for lemur on the forums, go to IGD even. Ask around. It's real, I have released it to a few people, just because I am having great success, you think it's vaporware...
BTW THIS IS NOT AN EDITED SCREENSHOT. THE TEXT IS GREEN BECAUSE THAT WAS THE COLOR OF THE HUD I CHOSE, EVERY PLAYER HAS THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THEIR HUD COLOR.

That is the most incorrect piece of text ever, I was not saying I thought it didnt exist, I just wanted to see some evidence of it really existing. Microsoft released DOS, which was good. But that doesnt mean every other thing they make is good and as real as they say.

Congratulations on this update. Lack of a team deatmatch mode has always put me off spending any time developing multiplayer levels and I'm sure we will see many more of them with this release.

When will the final version of Lemur V2 be available and how much is it going to cost?

Also, will there be an X10 version? Maybe you could send the code to Lee so he can ensure it's included in all future FPSC updates.

P.S Your reply to POD was a little defensive. I'm sure all of us that won't be receiving a copy for testing would appreciate seeing a little footage whilst we're waiting.

I hope you work exclusively on multiplayer mods as this is the one area that TGC don't appear to want to get their hands dirty with.

Good work

UrlForce, it seems you have single-handedly revolutionised FPS Creator for years to come. Hopefully, mods of TDM will evolve from this. CTF, Node capture. You never know. It could happen. You've reignited my faith in FPSC. I mean it. I wholehearedly look forward to seeing the inevitable flood of TDM games to come.

Although I think PoD was being reasonable. If it's too good to be true, people often assume it isn't.

Actually, I think about what I say before i say it. So I do use my common sense.

Wow this is nice. Is it strictly one shot kills? Or are there other options via the fpsc multiplayer settings?

Also, can we change that text, or is it not a hud? (The color of the team character, and final scores.)

Thanks!

I played 1 shot kill, but it works either way... The text/hud color is fully configurable via the Lemur V2 Configurator

Take a look at the attached

I know a lot of people have had there hopes with software and its ended up as vaporware but I also can vouch that its real as I have been testing it for URL.

There have been some issues and he making sure they are all ironed out before making a release.

Ok

The new screenshots look amazing and this is the biggest update to hit multiplayer period.

I need to buy this so please make available as soon as possible.

Team deathmatch and capture the flag are the only modes I play on COD4 so I can't wait to play the first offering.

4 vs 4 will be just fine thanks very much.

As you already have chat, please ensure there is both chat to all and chat to team functionality.

Well, I can't say that the pessimistic outlook displayed here is misplaced. There have been many times where promised releases disappear.

Urlforce, don't feel personally targetted by the "v" word. People around here seem to have grown around vaporware and are simply being cautious. No body wants to get their hopes up anymore than they already do. I'm sure nobody here is doing this to be rude or mean to you and your work.

Back on track now. A few suggestions I might make:

How about individual colors for teams. This would make it easier for people to distinguish an opponent, as registering colors is easier than having to read the words before shooting.
The team colors could be chosen through an ini file, and I'm sure through your experience with reading the setup.ini file, this would be very easily done.

I'm willing to wager that CTF would be no trouble at all, once the teams deal is finished and polished. You could simply grab a property out of the entities own file that will determine whether it acts as the flag or not. This way people could make ANY entity a potential "flag" for the game.

Keep up the nice work, bro!

The one and only,
~PlystirE~

If it works, you should contact Lee, so he might put it in X10... Maybe people will finaly stop moaning for better multiplayer from there on.

Would be cool to see X10 TDM actually.*Ooohh... Shiny aliens shoot shiny humans*

It would be quite cool to have the option of giving the characters on each team a slight red / blue colour tint to make them stand out from each other slightly.

Alimpo83 has the following thread where he tweaked some shaders, one of which allowed for doing exactly this or adding a coloured outline around the player like when you come across enemies at the beginning of Crysis which could work quite well.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=117496&b=24

Perhaps he wouldn't mind sending you the relevant shader file so this can be implemented.

If you can determine the player text which appears above them depending on which team they are in like in Call of Duty 4 team deathmatch that would probably be sufficient.

for team colors I have a solution:
1) open texture in paint.net/ photoshop
2) go to rgb balance
3) increase red while decreasing blue and green, save, repeat for blue

sorry for the sarcasm but scripters shouldn't have to worry about the player texture as that is a modeling job
