I guess I had to start this thread sooner or later. Right now, we don't have much on the game, but what we do have is pretty high quality. For those who didn't follow the Nameless Game thread on the Product Chat, the story is:

In Greek legend, Atlantis was a fabled island with an outstanding navy. For generations, the Atlanteans lived simple, virtuous lives. But slowly they began to change. Greed and power began to corrupt them. When Zeus saw the immorality of the Atlanteans, he gathered the other gods to determine a suitable punishment. According to legend, after a failed attempt to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the depths of the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune" - Plato (360 B.C.)
As Tristan Craft, a freelance reporter for the local newspaper, you decide to use your vacation time becoming a treasure hunter, and looking for the lost city that could, if found, change the world as we know it. You set your course for the Bermuda Triangle. You figure, if there are so many stories of missing ships in the area, something must be there. You were right. When you reach the center of the Bermuda Triangle, the boats equipment starts to fail. The boat fills up with water with land not visible for miles. You grab the scuba gear, and dive down to the depths of the Bermuda, hoping for discovery. Discovery is not the only thing you find...

The cutscenes will obviously have to do with water, so in order to get a good water effect, I had to model some. The result of my first attempt at water can be seen here:
http://files.filefront.com/Water+Testmov/;9414745;/fileinfo.html

This game will have to be mainly custom media, because the stock segments don't really go along with the underwater ancient Greek theme...
The green on the texture is courtesy of Roger Wilco, who I have partnered up for on this project. This is one of the base textures used in the game, (Oh, and please ignore the hud):

If you have any comments on the game, please post them. This is still early on in the development phase, so please don't complain about lack of entities or lightmaps. That will come later, as more custom media is applied.

@Seth Black, I sent you an email a day or two ago regarding this game. Did you receive it?

- NOTE: Any relation to real people, either alive or dead (Aside from Plato), is merely a coincidence and not intended. -

Sounds good, story is well thought out, the textures in that screen shot are good but it doesn't really show much. Good work so far but keep the screenies coming.

Good storyline.........

But as Shadow Blade said, we need more screenies to be able to tell more about it.....

The screen is just to show the quality of textures in the game. Not level design or anything like that. I know it needs a lot of things, but I just want to get all the textures that we need done and then go off of that.

Cinema 4D. It took me a while to get it just right, so I'm not really going to change much, but I can change the color if needed.

Thanks. Any tips? The enemies were actually just finalized today, so we have a long list of models to create. It's a lot of models for 2 people, but we gotta get through it. Well, I'm not that great of a modeller, but I've gotta take some of the pressure off of Roger Wilco.

Texture and the water video looks nice. One thing I would do is make the floor/ceiling a bit less gray scale in the screen shot, it doesn't fit as much.

Looking forward to more.

The water looks good
Do you have any kind of screenshot from a room with some entities? Just to see the atmsophere in the game.
Good story.

...yes I did, gunn3r. I've been tied up with work, and haven't had much time to spend at the computer.

I'll send you a response tomorrow.

Thanks,

@Seth Black, Ok. I was just wondering.
@BVG, Once we have some entities, I'll gladly show them
We actually have only a few models done, and they are for puzzles, so it would spoil the puzzles to show you the entities.

Thanks Seth. I have another sig in mind, but it would take a little bit of modelling to get it right, and I won't be doing it until closer to the game's release.

Using Nighthawk's EFX beta, I was able to put in some water effects for now. They turned out amazing, in my opinion. Now, I need to go make some torches or some sort of light source. I don't have one now, and it looks a little funny.

On the German forums there is an excellent set of wall-torches with flames to go on them.....

I recommend you check 'em out...

Sweet! Thanks coffee grunt! I'll go look for them now.

I will not be using Nighthawks EFX mod for the final game, but just until Lemur comes out. This will hopefully push Lemur to it's extremes, with an underwater setting. (That doesn't mean the entire game will be underwater... In fact, just the opposite...)

It's too imaginative. People don't have a lot to draw off of for reference. And what they do have to draw off of is Plato's writings. Specifically, Critias. (Which I read just for this game... I'm such a geek... )

Are you good at making logos? Wanna get involved with Tristan Craft?

Submit a logo design for Tristan Craft and yours could be the one used in the officially sponsored game of Lemur V2.
The winner will receive a free copy of the game, as well as a custom model pack with some of the models in game.
Fire up Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.Net, and start designing, because this only lasts 1 month from this post.

Well, we've got a couple of new features for TC, and possibly an environment demo coming out soon. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
My favorite feature is attached. Try and see if you can make out what it is...

New update!

- Finally -

Story: UPDATED!
Bermuda Cruises seemed like a logical place to spend a vacation. Rated 5 Stars in the latest Vacation Weekly magazine... This place had to be nice. And it was. Before that night, at least.

The glass of sparkling champagne glittered as the sun started to go down in the distance. Surrounded by hundreds of miles of clear blue water, Tristan Craft, retired newspaper writer at the age of 27, looked longingly into the ocean. There had been rumors on the last cruise that if you looked hard enough, you can see machinery underwater. It was just another white lie, most likely. Something parents tell their kids. Yet there was something about the depth of the water that lulled Tristan into a deep hypnosis. The longer he stared, the more it felt like there was something underneath there. Something longing to be found.
Later on that evening, his long time girlfriend Eva Miles was supposed to meet Tristan at the Beached cafe on the 3rd deck. Eva never showed. Tristan left at 11PM, confused as to why she didn't at least call.
Early the next morning...
The boat lurched suddenly as if someone had stopped it with a brick wall. Glasses flew off shelves. Closets full of clothes came undone. Lights swayed back and forth. Red warning lights echoed along the engine room and the under hull of the vessel. The boat was filling with water. Tristan receives word that Eva is at the bow of the ship. Tristan prepares for a mass panic as the boat continues to lurch and sway.Tristan leaves his bunk in a hustle, looking to make sure Eva is alright. He winds his way through the different cruise attractions to the bow. No one is there.
Four minutes later... Three quarters of the vessel is lost. Tristan sees that an abandon ship call is imminent, so he grabs his 1911 pistol and jumps overboard, hoping to grab on to some sort of floating debris. Tristan's foot hits a small lever right below the surface of the water. He dives underneath to take a closer look, but nothing is there. He hears the slow churning of the boat sinking, but is introduced to a new noise. That of machinery lifting something. Something is surfacing...

Atlantis is discovered.
