I don't really know if this is possible, but I would *love* a feature n DBC to say if in the programming if it should use 3D gfx, 2d gfx, or both.
Because, at the current time DBC/pro only works on my desktop, and it would be so much better if I could turn OFF compiling for only machines with 3D gfx cards.
Besidies, that my get rid of some unneedy size in the EXE's?

i think it's not possible... i was told everything in DBC is 3d; even its 2d features are actually just 3d planes pushed right up against the screen. i think...

I don't know if this is what you want .. but if you're doing 2D ONLY, then you can turn on "Set Emulation On" And Turn off "Disable TNL".

Oh .. and all the 2D command (box, dot etc) in DBC are real 2D(rendered directly to the backbuffer). But since 2D in DBC are too slow, people actually prefer to use 3D plains whenever they do 2D things, like HUD, sprites, etc.

The only reason I asked is because I would *luv* playing my 2D creations on my laptop, which is an IBM Thinkpad 390E with no 3D gfx card ><!

you'll need another programmign language if you want to make easy, small and fast 2D games which don't need micro$oft directX ...
in that way, DBC sucks... but it's real good at 3D
