Okay, I played the demo. I'll make a list:
Things I liked:
- The gun, and the fact you can zoom in/look down the scope
- The HUD at the bottom
- The scripted events (eg. a door being blown open)
- Music
- A lot of the lighting
- Addition of sounds (eg. people saying "Don't leave me")
Things I didn't like:
- HUD was a bit too big
- Only 1 gun (though later levels will probably have more, I guess)
- Sounds were often too quiet or garbled to understand
- Too short
- It seemed like there were quite a few prefab models etc. being used
- Story is good but I want to hear the rest of it! (This will, no doubt, be rectified when the final version is released)
- There was quite a lot of lag on my machine. The lag itself wasn't so bad (it was definitely playable) but it was present almost all the time, which was a bit annoying. (Especially as the reloading sound didn't match the animation)
EDIT: I should have said - despite the problems (and my "good" list is smaller than my "bad" list, which is unfair, really) I did enjoy playing it - and I can't wait to play more
I'm not actually a Kiwi, I just randomly thought it up one day.
